So my to go spot always has that cooler of random beer from which you can build your own 12er for 15 dollars, I've done it before but it's usually only ranodom mainline domestics and Mexican lagers...

But,... I don't know what happened today,... I got, for 15 bucks, the following:

Weihensrephaner Hefe
Lagunitas Censored
Lagunitas Sucks! X 2 (Figured I'd give it another shot since I do enjoy Lagunitas generally speaking)
Sculpin Grapefruit IPA x3
Strongbow ( fav cider, why not?)
Angry Orchard Dry ( another cider I remember liking, plan on having a little taste test with strong bow)
Deshutes Pine-drops x2
Kona Lemongrass Luau (never had, sounds up my alley)

Whos the big winner?

They had a bunch of 805, Abita Purple haze and some Gose ales in there too... I tend to really enjoy the last two but was in a different mood today...

Nice. Let us know what you think of Sucks this time.

I picked up 2 bottles of Stone 20th anniversary Citracado IIPA. I will open one in a little bit.

Stone Citracado IIPA. First off it doesn't look like you expect it would as it looks more like a Red IPA.

N: slightly sweet citrus, bready malt and a touch of honey. Pretty simple nose.
P: sweet citrus and tropical fruits. A good amount of honey and the Bready malt is there as wel. Bitterness slowly grows.
F: honey and sweet malt. Bitter grapefruit and orange rind with some aspirin.

It is a good beer but I was expecting more from Stone's 20th anniversary IIPA.

A six of Green Flash Sea to Sea Lager while tail gating for the Saguaro/Serra football game. Football season is back!

Proof Creatures in the Dark stout, local Tallahassee brew. Way too heavy on the chocolate flavor.

A repairman has been working on my washer from 11:30 until now (410 ET), effectively destroying my Saturday and driving me to alcohol. Cherry on top -- his company said he'd be here at 10 so I woke up early to straighten up and take care of some things. FML.

Anyway, Pumpking -- first of the "season"

Then buy it and drink it, I await your knowledgeable opinion. The only AZ IPAs that I have had that are even close are a few special releases from SanTan and Mother Road's Tower Station which is very good but still a step down.

I am not a fan of Pumpkin beers at all, but even taking that into account, isn't it hard to drink them in August?

I went to BJ's Brewery tonight with the fam (we had a gift card) and while I normally don't like their beer (and won't order it), they had a beer that they did in collaboration with Green Flash called Hop Pact IPA, so I thought it might be decent. Nope, still crappy.

Now some Dragoon IPA to cleanse the palate.

Haha, I tend to really enjoy both BJs and Oggis,... But not for the beer... Oggis has a beer called, "Hop Juice" that isn't bad,... I've yet to find a single BJs beer that's better than average.

Brewery Vivant Plein De Vie Habanango. What an amazing beer. So well balanced. I've had other mango habanero beers that are too sweet or too spicy or both. This is neither. And in a sour? Oh man, I love it.
