Firestone Walker Double Barrel Ale. Not my favorite but ok.
That's what I drink at the ND Club of OC's Game Watches. On tap, FW DBA is a very good pour for the $ it's a good choice. In a bottle, I never buy it.
It's MUCH better on draft than bottled.

I have never been a Sierra Nevada fan. Until today.
Sitting with a neighbor who scored a High Altitude Mix Pack at Costco for $20. Comes with four 24 oz bottles of:
Chocolate Chili Stout
Six Rights IPA
Dunkelwiezen Bock
Bigfoot
LOVED the Six Rights IPA. It's a double that comes across as a fruity single even though it's a 10% APV. Top 5 IPA for me because it's so fruity and light for the APV. I still would want Double Betty first but theis is right behind it and probably better for around the pool / beach on a hot day.
Anybody tried High West Whiskey's Campfire? I am really enjoying it.

I have not had it. I have enjoyed many of High West's other releases though. They "make" some pretty good rye. How did you find the smoke smell/taste in it? Was it coastal (think Ardbeg, Laphroaig), wood smoke, or farm yardy?
I was at Live Oak earlier; I had the Doppelbock, and the Hef. I was told that another batch of Foudreweizen might be in the works and other collaborations are being discussed. Also, Primus may hit the shelves this next winter...
For now: Strangeland Porter. Pretty good, dark roast with plenty of flavor and body. One of my favorite local breweries. I should sleep, but when the date you've just met suggests priesthood, it's just gonna be one of those nights.

I enjoyed it. Very unique.
Wood smoke, I'd say. It's a good blend of sweet from the Bourbon, spice from the Rye, and smoke from the Scotch.
