Would the flash pasteurizer change the flavor of the beer?

Live Oak Hef. Very happy with this.

Probably slightly. Deschutes mixes in some unaged unpasteurized beer so that there is some live yeast in there for aging. Overall, it is probably worth the sacrifice to make sure that the beer isn't infected.

SanTan MoonJuice Galactic IPA.

Real light. pkt, what do you think of this? I didn't know that Arizona exported any beer.

If I remember correctly I rate it as a mid 80's beer. Good nose, ok+ palate, light and crisp. I prefer to drink it after doing some yard work or at the pool. Nothing special but it is pretty nice after (or during) spending some time in the sun.

Sounds about right.

Silly Sour Ale. A little apple, but pretty underwhelming. The nose is much better than the flavor.

Columbia Grand Estates Red Blend 2013. Used about half the bottle in a stew and I am drinking the rest. Actually pretty good. Lots of red, blue and black fruit. Some licorice, spice and a touch of vanilla. For $7 not bad at all.

The flavor profile sounds right up my alley, but most American blends tend to be pretty blah to me. Do you know what the blend is?

I saw it once as a single bottle, but couldn't pull the trigger at the moment. I've only ever seen it as a 4 pack for $15 otherwise.

Honestly, if you like Doppelbocks it is worth it. Definitely a top 3 doppelbock in the world and likely the best.

*Weihenstephaner Korbinian is also very good but a distinct step down IMHO.

Nice. It's too bad that Live Oak doesn't can more beer, because their Weizenbock and Doppelbock I thought were both amazing.

Well the other 20% is pretty questionable, but we all have variance. I'm gonna check it out, thanks.
