Mother Road 3rd anniversary Imperial Stout. Very good. Tastes like it might have been aged in bourbon barrels.

I am already looking forward to Narhwal coming out. I really enjoy that beer as well.

Some Four Roses Single Barrel.

I'm still exploring the world of beer. My palate is rather novice and my knowledge is certainly that of a neophyte, so bear with me if i don't always know these beers whose names you're dropping.

Four Roses though, that takes me back. I've never had the single barrel. You'd recommend it?

Not a problem. Sierra Nevada Narwhal is a seasonal release that is an imperial stout. Big roasted malt notes and cocoa powder. Pretty good and priced the same as Hoptimum (which is still probably one of their best beers).Narwhal Imperial Stout | Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. | BeerAdvocate

Sierra Nevada also puts out their hop harvest beers as well. When their Northern Hemisphere release comes out in the early Fall it is a good one to buy as well.

Four Roses Single Barrel is technically a very good bourbon but I much prefer a bourbon that is in a different style. If you like the other Four Roses options it is a good buy though.

Shorts Moher Stout. I grabbed this out of the fridge thinking it was a Shorts ControversiALE because of the cap so I was a little taken aback when I took the first sip. But this is a damn good beer!

Wanted a pumpkin after our dialogue earlier, all my local mom n pop bev mo like spot had this soon was the Traveler Pumpkin Shandy... my expectations were low and it exceeded those... Not bad at all... It'll get me through for now, very balanced lightly spiced, good amount of pumpkin... Solid.

Ballast Point Dead Ringer Oktoberfest/Marzen.

Bready with cinnamon and cloves. A little orange zest. Some caramel as well. Decent.

Nice. I am also really intrigued by the Ballast Point Pumpkin Down as they use a Scottish Ale as the base beer and then add the pumpkin and spices.

Yeah I'm going off memory but I remember the malt or something being really bold, heavy and overwhelming the pumpkin almost completely, but as your not a pumpkin fan and you like whiskey and such a beer like that may be preferable for that style, I'll be interested to hear your thoughts

Vodka gimlets. For some reason I'm getting better at Donkey Kong the more I drink.

I had the Anderson Valley Fall Hornin'. Not very impressed. Definitely more malt than most of the other pumpkin beers, but it was rather sweet and tasted somewhat artificial. I am just about ready to give up on Pumpkin beers.

Rahr and Sons Buckin' Bock. Surprisingly good, but I can't pinpoint the flavors.

Firestone Easy Jack then Union Jack. Very solid. Would definitely get Union Jack again.

Sierra Nevada Torpedo.

Started a bit earlier with some Amaro Ramazzotti.

After this hamfisted Hoffenhiem game I needed a drink... Grabbed another Pumpkin Shandy, not gonna lie, I actually kind of like this,... This is what I want from a pumpkin, lots of pumpkin and spice but easy drink ability, smooth, light, refreshing, I believe I will buy this again.

went to my local award winning deli, got their out of bounds pastrami and grabbed some Dwarf Invasion Cherry Mead and some Buffalo Bills Americas Original Pumpkin Ale...

Mead... Very sweet, like very sweet... Good base flavor but I wasn't ready for this much sweetness...

Pumpkin, very good actually, malt, hops, pumpkin and spices are all there but nothing overwhelms... Best new pumpkin I've tried in a long while...

Just got New Belgium Pumpkick. I like it. Besides all the normal pumpkin spices you would expect this one has a sourness to it that I wasn't sure about at first but it's growing on me.

Pumpkin beer in August is like Christmas decorations in October. It's not time yet, gentlemen.
