So I've been on the hunt for anything 3 Floyds, and had no idea what a big deal it would be to find any available in my area.

I checked their website to see the beers and where they had been distributed in the last 30 days, called and/or visited each retail place, but had zero luck.

In retrospect, I feel like a fool asking around everywhere. They were probably like "oh great, another noob that has no idea how rare this sh*t is."

Anywho, apparently there is a decent-sized release happening at the big wine/liquor outlet near me tomorrow morning. I was told that I should get there an hour early to make sure I can get in line and get my hands on the product. Are Zombie Dust and Gumball Head worth the wait?

My greatest fear is that I get there an hour early and still don't get any lol.

I've beer tried their beer, but from what I've heard, yes it's worth the wait. You have a phone, just surf the Internet for an hour while in line.

And if you're worried about not getting any after an hour wait, get there an hour and a half early. It will sell out.

It's interesting, that's for sure. Malty, hoppy, sweet. I liked it but I'm not sure what it's supposed to be. Definitely worth trying though.

Habanero Sculpin. It's interesting.

I love Habanero but I don't think this really belongs in beer. Sculpin is very good, elite for an everyday available beer IMO but their variations on a theme are sorta marketing ploys to me.

Also scored two sixers of Drink by 09-02. Gonna do some pool drinking tomorrow with that.

Moved on to some Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc that I picked up at Walmart for $6.99 a bottle. If you wanna switch to wine... that's a great bottle to start with.

Yes, 3 Floyd's is worth anything you have to do to score it. I love Cali beers but 3 Floyd's is the best brewery in the country IMO.

Ask any Sox fan if they will send you some. Also, try with all your might to make Dark Lord Day in the spring. It's a bucket list move for any beer drinker.

I really enjoy Old Forester Birthday Bourbon (I have had a couple of different years). Elmer T lee single barrel is solid. Jefferson Presidential 21yo is pretty good but very overpriced.

As it turns out, I was misled pretty significantly by the guys working at the local big liquor store (Party Source in Newport/Bellevue, CincyDamer). I made it clear that I was on the hunt for Gumballhead and Zombie Dust, and they told me the big release was for today at noon.

As it turns out, today's release was for individual bottles of Alpha Kong and Battle Priest. Zombie Dust and Gumballhead released YESTERDAY, which they did not mention. I was pretty bummed out when I found out.

Not sure if they did it on purpose, or if they knew me showing up on Friday was futile.
