Port Brewing Old Viscosity. I have seen it labeled as an Imperial Stout and also as an American Strong Ale. 20% is aged in oak barrels, the rest is fresh.

Overall it is very good. Enough oak to let you know that it is there but it doesn't dominate. Chocolate covered cherries, some bitter coffee, cocoa powder, and some charred oak.

Well, I've been hangin' wid me brah & fambly in da Adirondacks (Big Moose Lake) since Sunday 7/12/15.

I gots no fancy words, no effete descriptions, recommendations or judgements.

I've been drinking a whole lotta beers and biers I normally don't in MN. There's Saranac in many versions, Utica, Ubu, some Vermont craft brewery offerings, some Canadian and a cast of many twelve packs of forgotten origin.

I'm still looking for a source for Hamms ...

I bought a bottle of Four Roses Single Barrel today at Costco for $30 since they were clearing it out. Nice notes of red hot candy, cinnamon, vanilla, brown sugar, rye spices, caramel corn, and little cherry.
