I don't normally drink Sienese wine, but I'm pleased with how good it is. I'll still choose Classico every time, but it's good to vary now and then.

It was rather generic (I think Placido was the brand name). It was a fine wine to pair with some pasta but I don't think it would have done well on its own. Overall not bad and pretty drinkable.

Negra Modelo. One of the bottles I pulled out of the 12 pack was empty. It was cracked on the bottom. Someone at the store doesn't treat the cerveza with the requisite care.

Tonight I went to a local place and they had an takeover of taps by Alpine and Green Flash (now that they are teamed up). So I had Alpine Hoppy Birthday and Duet while meeting up with an old friend from college. Also brought a 32oz growler of Duet home with me. There are rumors that eventually 22oz bottles of Alpine beers will be coming to AZ.

A can of 21st Amendment Brew Free or Die IPA. I've had it on draft before and the beer doesn't lose anything coming from a can. It has the citrus, crispness of an IPA but doesn't feel the need to hammer you over the noggin with hops.
