I, personally, think it's the best thing GI does still. Granted, I generally don't like when these brewers sell out to the big guys. Therefore, my taste buds may have a hint of bias...

They've done well in promoting it. Add to that, the fact that they have variants, people will eat it up.

Its the first barrel aged stout i ever tried and still one of my favorites somewhat because nostalgia. I agree with you on it being their best offering. I think we are going to continue seeing our favorite breweries getting gobbled up by the big guys. I know if i had a successful brewery that i started and someone offered me a pile of cash id probably take it and retire to somewhere warm.

It's like when your favorite band "sells out." I get it, I'd do the same, doesn't mean I like when they do it! haha

My buddy worked at Sam Adams for a few years, and the company gave them to employees. I think he had like a 2014. Wow, tasted like fermented soy sauce...

Picked up 2 cases of Dogfish Head 120 last night at Costco. Keeping 2 sixes for myself, giving the rest for Christmas gifts. It's good but for the money, it's WAY overrated IMO.

Hopefully it wont taste like soy sauce. I had a Sam Adams (cant remember what exactly it was now, in a blue bottle with a cork on it). Saved it for years and when I finally drank it, it was soy sauce.

Crooked Goat Grain and Blood Blood Orange Double IPA. The blood orange complements the hoppiness of the IPA perfectly and it has a nice dry finish. That helps it avoid venturing into wine cooler frutiness. This is a great beer.

The Lost Abbey Ex Cathedra

Not as strong of dark fruit flavor as I would've thought. Some good citrus taste in it tho.

A White Russian because budweiser didn't sound good and neither did straight whiskey.

Kinda surprised you get it all the way out there, but then again that's why CC has Oskar Blues brew it.

Left Hand Hard Wires nitro. A damn fine coffee porter.

My local Kroger had Alpine and El Cumbre in their $9.95, 'make your six' section. So I got a 6's of Duet, Windows Up and Hoppy Birthday and a mix of 2 16oz El Cumbre Elevated's and 4 Lagunitas Super Clusters. Having the Elevated now.

It's that time of the year for Bell's Hopslam, getting distributed today. My favorite beer, double IPA brewed with honey, 10%.

If you've never tried it and are into IPAs, I highly recommend you give it a try if you can get your hands on some. Especially on tap. Cheers gents

Completely forgot that Hopslam would be distributed soon. Didn't much care for it last year when I got my hands on a can. The can I got from a beer trade a few years back was very good though

You're spot on. Last year I feel like they forgot the hops. Two years ago was a much better batch.

My gf has two relatives who work in party stores so I'm getting some pretty easy this year, normally I have to hit the road on a bit of a scavenger hunt to score a few cases.
