2 gallons of water is the most impressive part to me.

I lied. Maybe a liter but in Arizona when it's 117, you talk a mean game.

Bottom line, this beer stuff is full of water and tastes better.

How is that stuff?

It wasn't bad. Nice notes of vanilla and coconut. Some floral notes as well. I am not a huge fan of barrel aged IPAs.

I also had a growler of Modern Times Tetra City this weekend. It was very good though not quite as good as some of MT's other hoppy offerings.

Tried The Bruery's Saule and White Chocolate in Huntington Beach last Tuesday. Both were amazing. Wish this stuff was more widely available in AZ.

Had Firestone Walker's Stickee Monkey with lunch today. Also very good. Huge toffee and vanilla flavors.

I am so pumped to go on the Bourbon Trail this weekend and maybe pick up some beer in Nashville on the way there or back

Had something to celebrate so cracked into a bottle of Highland Park for a couple fingers. Freya, from their Valhalla collection. Woody/smokey/pear. Very good, but pricy. Very cool bottle/holder. Had better for less, but overall a very nice experience.

Now that my pallet is spoiled, transitioned to a crown and 7.

Thanks again guys (especially PKT) for the scotch pointers.

You are most welcome.

Speaking of Highland Park, they are redoing the packaging, while this won't change most of their offerings, I have heard that Dark Origins is being retired, and they will have Valkyrie in its place. It will be similar to Dark Origins but with a higher percentage of peated malt (~50% instead of ~25%).

For me tonight,
Founders ReDANKulous (bottled 6/21)
Booker's
High West Rendezvous

A craft beer for every team on tour schedule, such as:

Georgia - Ninkasi's Dawn of the Red
Boston College - Samuel Adams - Irish Red

Suggestions?

So I swore off Ballast Point, aside from Thai Wahoo, over the weekend as I bought another over priced sizer that wasn't close to worth it... fast forward to today and I stop by my local spot and see a bomber of Orange Vanilla Fathom, and me being an idiot thought, 'okay it's priced like Wahoo (sanely) and actually sounds decent... I'll try it.'

It worked out tho, it's not amazing but it's better than any other beer they have aside from wahoo... figures their two cheapest beers would be their most enjoyable.

Celis Brewery has opened back up. They have a very good wit, a plus pale bock, solid IPA and more to come in the future.
