Tried to wait to NYE but couldn't make it, opened my bottle of Lagavulin 16 yo. As good as I remember it.

Laga 16 is wonderful. My favorite distillery.

My top 5 are
Lagavulin
Talisker
Glenfarclas
Ardbeg
Cragganmore

Hmmm, not sure yet. You?

Have a lot in the fridge, maybe some Alpine, Allagash, 3F or Stone. Night will end with some Lagavulin though.

Sounds good.

I will probably have some beer while watching the football games.

Talisker 25yo
Caol Ila 25yo
Cragganmore 21yo
An indie Talisker 21yo 1986
an indie Cragganmore 40yo 1966
Cragganmore 10yo sherry cask
Lagavulin 12yo FOCM sherry cask
Pappy 20yo
an indie Balmenach 26yo 1983
Glenfarclas 31yo 1974
an indie Glenfarclas 43yo 1966
Lagavulin 21yo 1985

Just tore through a 750 ml Victory Twelve. There's a terribly sweet taste that sticks to your lips in between sips but the sips themselves are very enjoyable. You don't notice it's 12% ABV, which can be trouble. Tastes like a heavier Victory Golden Monkey.

Stone Enjoy By 01/01/16

Very aromatic. A bit of dark roast on the tongue. Overall it tastes like a good Enjoy By was made into a Black IPA. Hot on the back end from the alcohol. It's not the darkest Black IPA I've had, but damn is it a good one.

I wish I could've gotten more. I'm getting more roast the longer it opens up. My IPA glasses sadly will get here next week and were not available for tonight

That is sad, but at least you got to try it. We still haven't got it here. It won't come till the 2/14/16 release.

The 01/01/16 Enjoy By was good but gone by Christmas.

Started with Oban, finishing with Pol Roger tonight. Hope my infant sleeps in tomorrow!
