Do you cut it at all or just drink it straight? Too much fire for me to sip much of.

Nope. I think that Redbreast 12 CS is a little hot but I still prefer it neat. I love the flavor that lingers (and slightly burns) on the tongue.

Stopping off in Munich for a day during Oktoberfest on my way to New Delhi for work in a few weeks. Beyond excited, anyone ever been? Tips? Best Brews?

Thought it was just ok. The malt taste didnt really work for me. You had it?

Yep. I l think it is pretty good but not great and bought a second bomber of it but I much prefer the Enjoy By series, RuinTen and Ruination and probably prefer the standard IPA (though that may just be the price difference talking).

I was at a bourbon tasting last night. I had Old Crow and old Crow Reserve. I fully expected them to taste like industrial floor degreaser. They were both very respectable bourbons, sipped neat. Also, Old Grandad 114 was good, but certainly needs a splash to let some of the alcohol out. Beam's signature collection was also very good.

I'm jealous! Bavaria is one of my favorite places in the world, but I've only visited once, and it wasn't during the Fest.

Did some Googling in anticipation of doing a beer tour of Germany and Belgiam last year, but the trip fell through. This guide looked pretty thorough then, and he's updated it again for this year.

Augustiner was the best local beer I tried last time I was there, and it's nearly impossible to find here in the states. If you can find a seat in the Augustiner tent, get comfy. The best imports available here-- Weihenstephaner, Ayinger, Hacker-Pschorr, Schneider, etc.-- are even better there because they're fresh. Hell, even the mass-produced stuff tastes great fresh from a tap there.

Take pictures, make some bad decisions, and share them here once you get back.

Lots of Irish fans on the flight from ATL to Indy. Pilot is also shouting GO Irish... Any IE'ers on my flight? If so, cocktail on me.

When you are flying over the Northside airdrop whiskey.

Great minds my friend. Enjoying the same thing right now. I absolutely love CWs, but they are definitely a "once every few months tops" type of beer.

Agreed, I'm really enjoying this because it's delicious but it's so rich I can't imagine wanting more by the time I get through the six pack. Cheers.
