Gentlemen,

We pour our hearts out for one reason and one reason only... and that is for Notre Dame. This is a long process that almost everyone on this board can not change... however, not one of us has given in, and at the end of the process, not one of us has given up on the "surpise" recruit and yet none of us an given up on any of the recruits that have signed with ND!

Bottom line is this.... If we get a surprise tomorrow - GREAT!!! if we do not, Class of 2012 hit the f*ing weights and do what Lynch, Tuitt, and Atkinson did and don't let anyone limit your abilities!!!!!

This recruiting class is kinda like the season. It had great expectations and it could have been great but just like the season it leaves a lot to be desired.

It's a very good class but its unlikely to stay in the top 10 once all the other teams are finished. I'm guessing we finish more like 15-20.

Its amazing the difference a few more wins could of made.

We may fall a bit out of the top 10 in the end, but only taking 17 when a few seem to be underrated, and a LS in the mix. Sometimes its about quality, not quantity. There are a few we missed on, but this class is great.

I remember when Charlie signed his so called "killer class" in 2006. We were all excited saying we were BACK. It is not as much about the numbers as filling needs with good talented players. Further, getting a couple real difference makers in each class.

So, we have a real difference maker at QB, CB and WR. We also filled needs at DB. Thanks to all the guys who join the ND family today.

I disagree, but I am happy for these 16 recruits. We just did not cover our needs at all. 2013 needs to make up for that in a big way.

Me too! It's still a good class. Last year we scored some stunning reversals on kids committed elsewhere; this year we were the victims of those reversals. That's the way it goes. There are studs in key positions in this year's class and plenty of 5th years available this year and next to fill in any holes. Excited about the guys we got and excited to see the staff bring in another great (and hopefully larger) class next year!

We fell short in a couple of areas that were big concerns. I guess the NSD surprise wasn't one that we would enjoy. Just a little bummed this year.

Again, we should have hired Tosh from Cal. Pay him whatever. That would have got us Arik, Shaq, and Payton. If kids love him so much and we have the means to pay him, give him a 4 year contract. He doesn't even need to coach if he can bring in talent like that.

I would have liked to see another CB in this class, probably why I was more dissapointed with the loss of Darby than Greenberry. But I think landing Kiel really makes this class special. Also getting another two top DL recruits is starting a trend that ND hasn't seen in about 15 years!!!!

Regarding the guys who signed:
Awesome bunch of talented kids. Glad to have them on board. IMO some very underated. Can't wait to see our two WR starting or in the two deep this year. Thinking at least 3-4 fresman will be starting by game 6. Rock and roll guys.


Regarding the guys who flipped:
Good luck, hope things work out for them. ND isn't for everyone although I think these young men would have seen far better benefits down the road had they stayed Blue and Gold.

The coaches:
Quality is there, the numbers and need in some cases are not. Rumors aside, they wiffed big time in a few areas. Time to stop looking back and look forward. Go tear up the '13 recruiting trail with lessons learned, and most important, develop our '12 guys into the best class we've ever signed!


Glad the rollercoaster ride has ended. Time to take a break from all things recruiting for a short period, and then starting building excitment for new season. Opening day can not get here soon enough.
