I will do what I can to bring us a victory but it will be from home. My son is sick and not up for the trip. I decided that since I'm no longer a spring chicken (and not in the best shape to take on a solo 8 to nine 9 solo drive at night) I'd hold off for another day and game. I'm also concerned that my well traveled and ancient minivan might not have enough left in it to survive an intense 1100 mile drive.

My son's college roommate from South Bend has 3 tickets for the Utah game so we have our sights set on that. I'll miss seeing a few classmates that will be at the game but my one overriding goal was to kick around "my" campus with my son – he's never been there and I'd like him to understand some of what is behind my silly madness. He's old enough and experienced enough now to understand and appreciate the splendor rather than hit me with "Jeez, Dad, do I gotta?"
