Love BooneIf she says we're in the Sun Belt, I'll book tickets to Boone, NC.
Love Boone
That would be awesome. That’s what makes this exciting - big-time powers playing big-time games - and the TV networks know it, which is why this is happening. Can you imagine USC having to travel across country and playing Penn State in prime time during a white out
The ADs at Rutgers and Maryland who negotiated their entry into the Big Ten need to be paid infinity money because no one has ever secured a bigger bag while providing less than those two schools. Some or the school that will be on the 2 big conferences don’t belong.
In the SEC Vanderbilt for example should be punted and replaced with Ok state.
In fact why don’t the 30 best schools just make a new league.
Was there many years working for UT-Chattanooga. Remember the year they became civilized and legalized beer sales.Fantastic stadium to watch a football game. 2nd in my Fall Foliage power rankings to Michie Stadium
Somebody somewhere thought they locked up the New York and Washington DC markets. That’s literally the only reason they are there. Not some amazing negotiation by anyone…The ADs at Rutgers and Maryland who negotiated their entry into the Big Ten need to be paid infinity money because no one has ever secured a bigger bag while providing less than those two schools.
That’s definitely why they did it, but someone should have told the Big Ten that Ohio State and Michigan have a considerably larger NYC fan base than Rutgers.Somebody somewhere thought they locked up the New York and Washington DC markets. But they did lock up the NY and DC markets. Because the way negotiations were at time is they showed them cable numbers and Nielsen ratings and went to Fox and said give us this money and they did. Maryland and Rutgers served their purpose in a cable world.Somebody somewhere thought they locked up the New York and Washington DC markets. That’s literally the only reason they are there. Are cinci not? They must be on the up in that area. That’s definitely why they did it, but someone should have told the Big Ten that Ohio State and Michigan have a considerably larger NYC fan base than Rutgers.
Rutgers is NYC’s college team like Cincinnati is Southern Ohio’s college team.

You're effectively the northern outcast competing in a southern league with higher academic standards than almost anyone in that group (aside from UVA/UNC, who aren't really competing for the CFP anyway). If nothing else, Notre Dame's admissions standards alone are a massive reason it is a much better fit in the expanded B1G.
I think for ND it is probably going to either reassert it's independence here and step away from the ACC (that is likely going to get destroyed soon by the B1G/SEC) or join the B1G - I don't think there's a logical third option. I don't see how the SEC is in it's best interest, though they'd certainly welcome ND.
If ND is a yes, I think the B1G just rips the bandaid off and goes straight to 20 with whoever ND is most comfortable with.
They can't be dumped? The ADs at Rutgers and Maryland who negotiated their entry into the Big Ten need to be paid infinity money because no one has ever secured a bigger bag while providing less than those two schools.
They were I-AA (fcs) when I was there. Ironically the championship game was in Chattanooga for many years. The mocs were never in it but we enjoyed watching the mountaineers
I’ve seen it’s only 15 million. It runs through 2025Ok. Am I correct in Notre Dame gets 38 mil per year from NBC? And do they have three years left on the contract?
Ok. That's just not gonna be enough to compete. I guess it's time to make the move. The times they are a'changin.I’ve seen it’s only 15 million. It runs through 2025
It would actually be 5 times the amount.Pete Sampson said on the radio today that a move to the Big Ten for ND would double the revenue of their current deal as an Independent and with NBC. Felt it was the first time, the move actually makes sense financially. Also, they will keep their national footprint, with the conference having teams in California, New Jersey (NY area) and Washington DC.
He quoted currently a total of $50 mil and would move to $100 mil. Thought the Big Ten might be able to get even more with the ND brand in the league. It would actually be 5 times the amount.
Penn State?
They play it down at the FC Dallas stadium now. Works out pretty good since the western schools sorts run the show now and Dallas is easy to get to.They were I-AA (fcs) when I was there.
