Seems like a decent fit. Florida isn’t yearning for smash mouth football.
By year three, and without magic portals, Steve Spurrier took Duke to their most wins in 37 years. By year three, Lincoln Riley took USC to 7-6.

Florida fans aren't dumb, and from 1990 to 2020, they were second to only Ohio State in power conference winning percentage. As long as the entire state of Louisiana is run by morons, Florida is the best job available. They can do a lot better, and they know it.

I know Riley has put some talented players in the NFL, but he hasn’t done shit since leaving Oklahoma. Curious why teams would be pushing hard to get him. Lack of options?

If there is even 1 ounce of truth to it why the fuck does USC continue to support Lincoln’s apparent stance on the rivalry.

as Offensive Coordinator?

I saw the suggestion (I think here) recently that Texas Tech would fire McGuire with a CFP miss and push for Lincoln.
Where did you see this suggested? TTU would be crazy to fire McGuire.

1) He's the only coach who's had a modicum of success since Mike Leach; nobody before him won more than 8 games since Leach, and 8 wins is a feat Kingsbury and Tuberville each accomplished once.

2) they'd be absolutely insane to enter this coaching carousel and expect to find better. Way more attractive jobs out there.

They believe Money + Blanchard is the main reason for success, not McGuire.

That's if they fire him

His walk number is like $6 mill.
They need to start structuring these buyouts as our payment to get rid of you is the same as your buyout if you want to leave.

You want 1/2 your remaining salary if we can you, cool, you owe us 1/2 your remaining salary if you want to leave.

I know it won’t happen, but the discrepancies in these buyouts are ridiculous.

It boggles my mind that schools keep signing up for some of these buyouts. I get they are worried they are going to miss out on "their next great head coach", but my god, having to pay 10's of millions of dollars to get rid of something is crazy train.

"Slop of a field" and it's one of the nicest football stadiums in the country lol. I mean I can agree that the breaking of tradition is less preferable but Allegiant is legit.

I remember being somewhat concerned for BYU at Allegiant a few years back. Then I watched Jaren Hall throw a pass. Stadium is objectively nice
