Penix announced his return to UW, Bo Nix expected to do the same by many to Oregon. USC played neither last year. Has both + ND, UCLA and Utah (and Deion) next year.

That’s a bonafide schedule congrats Trojans

Yeah. That wouldn't happen at Bama. It wouldn't happen at Clemson or at Michigan either, much as I loathe them. But that's what USC is right now.
And that doesn't happen anywhere if the fans aren't ok with it.

Max Duggan is the QB that the CFB media is propping Caleb up to be. I'm not saying Caleb isn't good, because he absolutely is, but when it comes to the position and the intangibles therein to go along with the talent I'll take Duggan.

Sooner or later the guy like Caleb gets punched in the mouth and can't respond.

Manziel was worse than Winston. Jameis wasn't intentionally bad. He was just immature and stupid. JFF, on the other hand, was a spoiled, narcissistic cunt who went out of his way to intentionally be an asshole.
Agree with this. Guys like Manziel are actually bad people. You can tell with the way he approaches interactions with others in an "ungenerous" manner.

People like Winston are more complex. Maturity issues and poor impulse control/decision making is different than having malice.

True. I'll never forget the look on Jimbo's face though when Jameis was supposed to be suspended for the Clemson game and he showed up on the sidelines anyway in full gear. Jimbo was beside himself

The browns drafting him was the darkest moment for me fan wise. I knew he wasn’t good enough AND a complete dbag. He potentially buried his whole team’s season for some money from autographs the trust fund guy didn’t even need. It still amazes me the media made him out to be a victim there,….

Yup, it was the Brownsiest move the Browns could have made at QB. Anyone with two eyes could plainly see that Manziel was a walking red flag. On top of that he wasn't exactly an amazing QB from a football IQ perspective. He wasn't really used to breaking down or reading defenses, he was used to hitting Evans a lot or scrambling around till someone was open. Worked alright at A&M, it wasn't going to work quite as well at the next level.

I’d add Johnny Manziel to that list.
Manziel at least beat Bama. Winston was part of one of the most frustrating ND loses ever. The sexual assault stuff followed by his antics like he didn’t care about any sort of punishment what so ever. It could have been that he was an idiot .I get it.

During halftime of the Holy Cross - South Dakota State game, they were talking about the Heisman trophy. ESPN isn’t hiding how much they want Caleb Williams to win the award. Trevor Matich talked about Caleb Williams and Max Duggan. He stated how Caleb Williams does not have a good offensive line (Joe Moore semi finalist) and has a lack of weapons around him (Jordan Addison - 2021 Biletnikoff winner; Mario Williams - ESPN True Freshman All American at Oklahoma; Travis Dye - All PAC 12 second team and honorable mention at Oregon). Matich also tried to play it off like Travis Dye was injured for a majority of the season. Then they discussed Max Duggan and Matich stated how Duggan is surrounded by talent.

The narrative should be the reversed.

Talk about a role reversal.

I went to go check the Army - Navy score on my phone while I was out and I saw ESPN has two articles about Caleb on their front page. One pumping him for the Heisman and another about...his nail jobs. Sweet jeebus...don't let your bias show or anything. He credits his mom or some shit for the idea, I'm sure his mom is real proud he's got "Fuck" painted on them every Saturday. Raisin' them right!

Caleb probably deserves it. If Manziel and Winston are on the list then Caleb belongs.

Wow. I always respected Matich but he clearly shows his ignorance if that’s what he said.

Yeah, I’ve heard most of the ND beat writers claim that if ND had banged up Williams the way Utah did which limited him, ND would’ve won. They thought it was funny that the narrative was Utah’s defense suddenly flipped a switch vs Williams being visibly limited with his legs late in the 2nd quarter.
