They cleaned things up under haden/swann and now they have to compete like everyone else except ala/ga/clemson.

Graham Harrell likely to be the new USC OC. Seems like they are committed to the Air Raid

Bucking tradition and doubling down on the passing game. That also means goodbye defense. Wonder how the alum will like it?

Had been seeing people say this was final.

To be fair, when the North Texas OC gets an offer to be the USC OC, it's effectively a foregone conclusion that it'll happen. The rest is just negotiation.

EDIT: Geez, USC loses another WR.

EDIT: Geez, USC loses another WR.

is this because of the coaching changes, or because JT Daniels is locked-in at QB?

I saw some article at the end of the season where most of USC's WR's didnt want JT Daniels starting after the UCLA game; I'll admit, I dont how true that story was, or if that has any bearing on these WR's leaving SC.

Top 25 offense the last two years. While statistically true, one should examine the opponents. It's not like they played in the B1G, ACC or SEC where there's a considerable step up in talent.

This is more a function of overrecruiting WR in 2016 and PT. USC signed six WR. Five were redshirted. Three (Jones, Vaughn and Pittman) were starters last year. Their two WR signees for 2017 left - Grimes in Dec to Minn and Lewis due to criminal charges. Three (Imotorhebhe, Sidney and Young) have been passed on the depth chart by 2018 signees St. Brown and Williams. Only Young of those last three remain. At one time, he was switched to CB. I guess he is still on the team.

Stanford's class is just as bad. Both with only 8 four star players.
Oregon and Washington 1 and 2 in the Pac.
ASU and the Crazy Herms outdoing both UCLA and Cal.
Though WSU and CO would do a bit better this year.

When Walter Rouse, Aeneas DiCosmo and Kyu Kelly are your 3 stars, you'll be ok. I really like their class. Them, Nebraska and Purdue have sneaky good classes.
