USC recruiting and everything else

I am counting six after Saleapaga's decommitment. I am going by Rivals, which does not count T.J. Brock (247 does), who is a track guy that may play football.

Counting Jones, Jackson, Asiasi, Kongbo and Allen, USC would have one left to give out without any further decommitments. Another LB would be ideal, but who?

As far as TE transers, McNamara would be a Senior and Daniel Imatorbhebhe, a Soph. Asiasi would be their second freshman TE.

Also, at DE with Allen and Kongbo coming from CC, they would be juniors. So USC could reasonably take two freshmen DEs - Betiku and Jimmons. Jimmons offer list is not very strong. Does he stay?

The class seems overloaded at WR unless they want someone to move to DB or LB. Then, if Velus Jones decommits.....

Can't say I've stayed up on Burton's recruitment but USC hasn't been a part of it for awhile, right? Thought it was all FSU/UCLA.

He's not linked to SC right now but Norco's Victor Virmontes is Mique Juarez's twin brother... and excellent athlete who was known more for being a dual threat QB early on but that was before he kept growing and ended up a LB. Could end up at any position too. He committed to Michigan for a cup of coffee but is back on the market. Once again, when SC offers the local guy, it's hard for them to say no.

4 star Steffon McKnight from Mira Mesa (San Diego metro) is still on the board. Has the talent to play anywhere and plays both sides of the ball IIRC. He's down to SC, UCLA, ASU and UDub. Which sounds like he's waiting on SC to say ok because I'm almost sure he was open about his love for the Trojans early on.

Kiffin offered him when he was a freshman. Then when Sark came they basically stopped recruiting him, and UCLA and others came on strong and USC was done. Now USC comes in last minute and many expect him to switch over. We'll see though...if Mora sticks at UCLA I think they'll still get him, but it's a toss-up IMHO.

Trouble still in Troy. Wish there was an NSD surprise that the Irish could steal. Good year to do it.

Good! His kid Jackson is going to be a MONSTER in the class of '18. He had a great year at MLB for Loyola Prep (w/ David Long). Just looked it up 60 tackles and 10 sacks. Anywhere but SC!

Now, what's the odds Harbaugh hires him in '18?

"Oh my gosh," said Jennifer Coney, Rashan's mother. "L.A. is absolutely beautiful."
Gary already made official visits to Mississippi, Auburn and Michigan, and he is contemplating a visit to either LSU, Alabama or Clemson. Ohio State is also trying to get involved with a Monday in-home visit.
"He could definitely go to USC," Coney said. "The visit was a game-changer."

"I learned that USC is a great school academically," Coney said. "They showed me their plan for success for Rashan, how they will implement his classes to his schedule, individualized tutoring. Most campuses that we have been to have the same thing, but I know Michigan and USC are two of the better academic colleges, where their degrees hold weight.
"They encourage their football players to get internships. It's very comparable to what I felt at Michigan, but the weather was good."
