He showed those walls who's boss in that apartment...LOL. I bet his lady cheated on him or something like that.

Only problem is the walls were too quick, they took the outside route hard, rounded the corner, and still made it to the quarterback, even with the heavy blows he landed. (Didn't keep his feet moving!)

No, it has nothing to do with that. He has problems with his dad. He could have some real mental issues that he's dealing with, so personally (as much as I revel in USC drama) I'm not going to rip this kid...

LA you hear anything in regards to him being on hallucinogens when this occurred? seems to be the running rumor

Yea, they pulled no punches explaining how poor he played. Felt bad for the kid but my devilish side smiled a little.

If USC looses to Wisconsin tonight, Clay Helton would have a 5-4 record this year. Not exactly a glowing record to entice recruits to USC. Plus the fact that half the fan base will be screaming that they should've waited and hired Chip Kelly. Could be trouble in paradise.

While I understand the thought process and hope its true. Until a non sanctioned USC program has a bad recruiting year, I'm not going to hold my breath. The best thing to hope for is the coaches don't scout the right talent and don't get the best out of the players.

Agree, but it's really hard to put this season on him. Too much going on for the team to simply cleanse their mind and start as if was the start of the season with a new coach. Having said that, I will continue to hope recruiting and play suffers at USC.

Do we think this is a real reason why someone would choose to not attend?

Maybe if it's neck and neck btw two places, that could be a tipping point, but come on...

I think that gets "sold" a lot by other schools recruiting against us.

I definitely think some kids make college decisions based on weather, girls, etc.

That was only a partial quote. the rest was, " . . . and they don't pay well enough!"

No italics intended. Fuck USC; Fuck Florida; Fuck Michigan, and anyone else I would add to the list, and just cannot think of at this time!

Oh, how could I forget? Fuck tOSU!

(I would say Fuck Urban Meyer, but he would probably like it too much!)

No italics intended.

Jack Jones. They don't have a CB in the class.
Devin Asiasi. Never heard anything else.
Lamar Jackson. Husker fans fill the net with fairy dust but SC gets two safeties every year.
EJ Price. Schrader put in the lone homer CB for SC. BUT stranger things...
Brandon Burton. Sounds like someone burned the SC bridge. FSU died down, hearing only UCLA.
...and that's a bummer because the two games i saw him this year were as impressive as anyone in LA. Dude is gonna be an NFL FS.

Others:

Keanu Saleapaga decommited from SC yesterday (did he open the 6th spot or did that make 7 now?) Oddly enough, that came right after 6-6, 275lb DE Johnathon Kongbo, the #1 Juco player in the country from AZ Western in (somewhat) nearby Yuma, AZ decomitted from Tennessee. Dude is Wally Betiku with two years of college weight room sprinkled on top.

I'll say Kongbo is going SC.

They also have been recruiting another juco All American DE named Josh Allen from a Long Beach CC. They could end up with both because they're SC.

Zion Echols is Damian Alloway / Melquise Stovall type ATH that's been committed to Cal then decommitted and most think he's heading back there. If SC makes its offer committable, he'll end up there.

Devin Modster decommitted from Arizona last week. The CB's have him to UCLA right now but Matt Fink sounds like a bust already so who knows.

With only Jack Jones in the class, keep an eye on Byron Murphy from Scottsdale, AZ who was all about SC early but supposedly is leaning to ASU now.

Guys that fall into the "I'll believe you go somewhere else when it happens" category...

Mique Juarez... Going to UCLA as of now.
Kahlil Tate... Arizona bound and with Modster decommitting I believe it might stick. He's a Serra guy tho...
Dylan Crawford... Michigan lean in the media. It's cold in Michigan.
Malik Henry... already EE'd at FSU. Check back to see if he makes it to summer.

Lastly... JP Shohfi. Set the national record for receiving yardage in a season. Could be SC's Gehrig Dieter

i was reading they were kicking the tires on him because Tee Martin isn't running the typical s.c. statue qb offense

I can see that. He's a playmaker. He'd need work in the passing game to be a good P5 QB but msot do and he was better in every facet of the game when compared to Travis Waller Jonsen and he's at Oregon.
