I don't get it. So alcohol was allowed in the usc locker room previously?

Yep. Here's a clip of Sark's halftime speech against Arizona State last year:

This is getting more and more delicious. Would love for SC's class to fall apart as a result, but I doubt I'll be that fortunate.

Just me, or isn't the best outcome for us that USC (or any long term rival), limps along but survives? Win 7 or 8 or even 9 games. Show flashes of promise (just not against us). Play poorly enough that the coach's seat is always warm but not badly enough for him to get fired (actually this sounds remarkably like Notre Dame football for most of the last 15 years).
What damns a recruiting class is not turnover but uncertainty (and loserdom). A new coach can sell the future but a guy who's struggling, that raises doubts about how long he'll be there, and about why you'd want to play for him if he sticks around.
So root for Sark to persevere, but lose four games or so, and certainly not to get tossed over an asshole display like the other night. That's what I'd do.

No way they keep Sark if he doesn't consistently win 10 games.

"Appreciate that they always make the coach, players available to reporters."

Not only to reporters, but also to agents.

"I've never seen Sark look so defeated, worn down."

That's called a hangover.

Better odds, Sark ever coaches for ND, or Bryant ever wears a ND jersey again? Lol

Can someone explain the "Cutty Sark" to me. I've been hoodwinked, bamboozled. I didn't land on "Cutty Sark" it landed on me. I have no idea what it means. Sorry.

LOL, how old are you, 8? LOL

Kessler: "He came to us as a man and looked us in the face and apologized."

I'm guessing that talk Haden had with him probably had something to do with him apologizing.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">This 2012 reimbursement request from <a href="https://twitter.com/CoachSark">@CoachSark</a> isn't ridiculous if you believe 16 people were at the bar with him: <a href="http://t.co/ywhJcZgSke">pic.twitter.com/ywhJcZgSke</a></p>— Danny O'Neil (@dannyoneil) <a href="https://twitter.com/dannyoneil/status/635865998680195072">August 24, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Sit down at bar and order couple drinks and food. So the 1 patron. He starts buying drinks for people. Adds up quick.

Now the disclaimer, I've racked up a bill almost 3 times that size with a party roughly one third the size he claims, but we were sailors on shore leave (and def. buying drinks). Not a fucking reimbursable "business meeting". Plus I bet he wasn't there all day. I think we each wound up paying out a little over 3 bills, before generously tipping. Which was more than Cutty Sarks "service fee". But who knows how much cash he threw [stuffed] around after his tab was squared.

My booze hound nose is itching. Homeboy's a drinker.

I love how this small mistake by Sark is turning into people shitting on him and USC out of no where. Story is way bigger then it should have been but I'm enjoying every moment of USC being shown in a shitty light.

the funniest bit was the misreporting that sark made dildo jokes lol

That was based on a tweet from a student whose father Sark was supposedly making dildo jokes to, so it may very well be true.

To be fair, from a USC perspective, he doesn't have a lot of fans in his corner, so this is just another coal for the fire. Showing up to a major function for the university, balls to the walls drunk and spouting profanities is a pretty big deal for the head coach of a major college football power. It's not like getting drunk at your frat parties. You're expected to uphold a level of humility and respect...of course this is U$C we're talking about, so maybe it's bass ackwards.

Do you have total recall of that incident? Sure you didn't buy a few Marines drinks?

(That would run up your tabs fast, and leave smiles on your girlfriends and mothers faces!)

Started at 9:00AM you say?

If you answered no to either of the first two questions, I know a hacked out, old ex-'Gyrene' that is always game for a drink with a member of the transportation department!

Might even be able to start in the morning and remain upright (without snoring until 4 bells!
