That whole incident was bush league. Surprising to see from a guy like Haden who is generally thought to be a quality individual but this should have been a much harsher message to send to USC and the rest of the PAC-12 after that embarrassment. 1 game suspension for Sarkisian would have been more appropriate for his actions.

On a lighter note did anyone notice Haden jump hug like a little kid into a USC coaches arms after the Hogan fumble? lol weird day for Haden all around.

Hahahaha! But it will be tolerated.

Un-freakin'-believable!

The nut-less, pencil dicked coach, candy ass-petunia that he is, dials the AD in a snit, (because the coach knows that he will be shown from the field if he opens his mouth again, and instead of patiently discussing things, or even calmly announcing his intent to protest, within correct channels, continues his own disturbing, uncharacteristic bizarre behavior and threatens the refs. Something like, "We don't pay you all that extra to ref the game fairly, we pay you to insure our victory and piss-off their fans!"

Sorry, I really don't have strong feelings on this topic.

This is the part of it that really made me question whether he should be part of the playoff committee anymore. His body of work maybe earns him another chance, but that committee NEEDS to be beyond reproach for the system to even come close to working.

Standing AD's, coaches, etc should NOT have a seat on the committee. It's begging for bias, one way or another.

And any AD that jumps and wraps his legs around the HC after a win should be excused from the committee as well. I think Sark needed a cigarette after that breeding.

When it comes to the committee, I'm frankly less concerned with Haden's potential bias against ND and more concerned with Willingham's.

College kids getting big heads and falling victims to trap games is extremely common in college football (see: Virginia Tech), but one of the biggest jobs of a head coach is keeping your players motivated week-in and week-out and reminding them not to take any opponent for granted - hence all the clichéd sound bites about “taking it one game at a time” and “not looking past anyone.”

I just wonder how many times Sarkisian has to be taught this lesson until he finally learns it.

I see that they signed their financial aid agreements, is that all it takes for a coach to talk about them? I thought it was only after they signed everything, the legal binding document keeping them at that school unless they transfer...

It legally binds the school to honor the scholarship. It also gives unlimited contact for coaches to contact those recruits under this agreement. It does not however bind the recruit to the school. These are early enrollees so they do not sign a letter of intent, they simply enroll.

I see. So at what point can a coach talk publicly about an early enrollee?

I guess once they sign the financial aid agreements since they have unlimited contact. Does talking about them publicly fall into the realm of unlimited contact? What exactly is unlimited contact as it relates to the NCAA?

Anyone know if Taylor Kelly will be playing in their game against SC this weekend? ESPN doesn't have anything about the injury.

Edit: He's out. USC wins.

Im not so sure...the backup for ASU threw for 488 yards against UCLA....488 yards is usually good enough to win....unless the other team scores 62
