Damn, USC had 557 yards to our 436, 29 first downs to our 23, and won the TOP.

I guess it's good to win on road when that happens but we had some serious exposure today. Hopefully defense can learn a lot on this win.

This is the worst I’ve seen our D okay all year. Made tow great plays and a few others stopping usc on 4th down twice but giving up 35 and 500+ yards is nothing to feel great about imo. Leonard played good overall but his int was up there with the awful NIU int. Collins was open if he could have thrown the ball worth a shit. Very ugly. I will say he bounced back nicely.
Hope we don’t play a good passing offense because we missed Ben Morrison badly today. Will take the win and get better.

Did the same at halftime of the Texas and Texas A&M game. ESPN networks don’t like anything ND. If we would have lost it would have been the number one story though.

The Colosseum was literally empty. USC is a dead program. Why would any recruit ever go there, especially when other B1G programs sell out 100k every week. Kind of sad to see from a program that used to seem unbeatable.

I’d wager that the receiving corps that ND faced against USC today is likely better overall than what they’ll see in the CFP.

They better be because we had no answer for them until Maiava started throwing picks.
500+ yards is quite concerning.
Maiava was uncanny at getting the ball out accurately while getting smashed by defenders. Most QBs don’t do that well.
Game was pretty disconcerting to me because I thought our pass defense was the best in the country and Troy made them look bad for 59 minutes or so. USC never looked this good in their other games

Sundays are so much fun after a big win. Hopefully, we can take advantage of the rest time, heal up, and clean up some issues. I think Leonard could really benefit from play action a bit and some screen plays. Also, we are going to need a drive or two in the playoffs to seal a game. Those 3 and outs anger me.
