@Iowa isn't cherry picking. Kansas, Iowa St, Colorado, Wash St, Ore St, Minnesota, Illinois, Purdue, Indiana, Kentucky, Vandy, a third of the ACC, the entire MWC minus Boise... all of those would have been cherry picking when this game was contracted. In fact, they sought out the toughest regional game they could schedule. Guaranteed if they called Nebraska the Huskers didn't return the call.

You can complain about who they sign, what the academics are about and how the fans are bandwagons but you being a grad makes this the weirdest sour grapes story I've ever heard. They have won 5 straight NC's. They are the most successful sports program in the country at their level or higher. Have a little pride in your bro's, bro.

Fair point on the cherry picking. The AD has admitted in the past though that they will only schedule games that they feel they won't get pounded in.

In regards to the football program, I may be a little hard on them. The local NBC affiliate broadcasts their games rather than Notre Dame...maybe that will change your mind about my sour grapes

Being a grad means little to me. I paid for a product that they provided.

I'd like to hear the ruling. It should be a touchback. The ball was dropped just before the goal line and rolled INTO the end zone. It was not recovered quickly but was not touched by Texas. Two or three Texas defenders chasing ran or walked past the ball laying in the end zone. Then the next Texas pursuer bent over and picked it up. If the ball was dead before that Texas player picked it up it has to be a touchback. The ball was not out of bounds nor rolled out of the end zone. It was live in the end zone until picked by Texas. If it was blown dead by a whistle before the Texas player picked it up then at that time it was a loose ball ... in the end zone ... still a touchback.

Scary to think that some people will try and rationalize this season away though. I can already hear it.

More and more it seems that 2012 was the aberration and that 8-5 is the best you can expect from BK, consistently, which would likely be ND's record after winning whatever crap bowl they get this postseason, provided they can go win five more games (hopefully 6).
