Can we please not worry about our ranking when we're overrated at #8 and hav two huge games on tap? I'll start caring about where we're slotted if we get through FSU with one loss or less.

This. For some reason I am more pessimistic about this year's team than I have been in years. We've beaten 4 very bad teams. Our lines are shaky. With one exception of Fuller, our receivers have confirmed every doubt that I had at the beginning of the season. I'm unconcerned about the playoffs or rankings - I'm just hopeful that we get through Arizona State with fewer than three losses. My true hope is that somebody quotes this in a month and mocks me for it - but I just can not shake this doubt about this team.

Wait a minute. You have a problem with what about the way Corey Robinson, and Amir Carlisle have played this year? With injury?

crazy, huh? I know in your world the only question is how many ND receivers will be first-team all americans and how many will be second team.

You think the D-line has been shaky?

it's more my worry that the D-line is going to look very shaky tomorrow and in the coming weeks - I don't think we've learned much yet about this team, and that worries me.

I can see that. What makes me optimistic is their effort and style of play. They are aggressive, fast and pursue the football. That's a good sign regardless of the competition.

You would be the only ND fan ever, who could say that without tilting the B.S. meter!]- I'm just hopeful that we get through Arizona State with fewer than three losses [Come on man 4-0 followed by 2-3? Sounds like you have a real lack of self-confidence manifesting itself in the team you root for; to quote Dave Brandon - "You may want to find another team to root for! Good luck!"]. My true hope is that somebody quotes this in a month and mocks me for it [Why wait? I am willing to mock you immediately if you would like!] - but I just can not shake this doubt about this team [I felt that way a bit last year, I must admit. But this year? Attitude shows; it isn't just that ND is four and zero, it is that they have depleted (hurt) the teams that they have played! Last year the team was hardly in about two of the first four games!].

Final Troll score : 7 out of 10. You got a point back for being so down and inconsolable in general. I feel bad for your outlook.

Disclaimer. I have no idea who ND will beat on a given Saturday; but I like my chances with the JYD's of ND this year. BK and BVG have them hungry and lean.

And Hill is out for the game with a leg injury. There goes my fantasy week.

Edit: Just updated us that's he's got a fracture of unspecified severity. It's the same leg that he hurt 2 years ago versus Utah State, but not his knee.

#12 MSST rolling over #6 A&M 28-7

#21 OKS kicked FG with 43 seconds in the half to tie ISU at 6 in a battle of FGs.

No matter what happens in the Stanford game, there shouldn't be any whining on here when MSST jumps us in the rankings. They're just plain better.

Miss. State is beating the tar out of A&M. Thought they might win, but did not expect them to be whipping A&M this badly.

I am not that shocked, as A&M struggled with a very average Arkansas team last week. A&M is overrated this year, pretty good offense (but sort of one dimensional) with a still shitty defense.

I get sarcasm, but your implication that the SEC is NOT the superior conference is just contrary to every fact and statistic out there, and I hate the SEC.

Where did I imply the SEC was not the superior conference?

Feel free to highlight that part of my post.

Your inference doesn't make an implication.

Well I didn't expect Miss. St. to win this easily so maybe they will jump us. But I think if we win by 2+ touchdowns we will stay ahead of them.

MSU is good, but this game proves more to me about A&M.

Everyone thought they were going to be a 4-5 loss team when the year began, and wrongfully assumed they are world-beaters after they beat a super mediocre South Carolina team.
