I didn't say he was bad. Just pointing out there's some weird dynamics in play. I also don't think evidence was planted. If Trump thought there really was, why didn't he point it out? Never voted for Trump and wish he'd go away, but as I pointed out previously, this search warrant isn't helping that cause.
How could he even know? His lawyers (correctly) weren’t allowed to watch the search. How could he know what was taken unless he knew what was there to begin with?

I think he knew what was in the boxes or had a pretty good idea. He's the one who took the documents, so he should know some of what was hauled out.

Looks like Trump will be launching a campaign for reelection. He met with a number of Reps and Senators yesterday and told them they would like his decision.
I wonder what kind of anarchy/brainwashing fallout we will see if he gets indicted or loses the race?
Why didn't the FBI allow anyone to be present? You would think they would want his lawyers to witness their honest efforts to allay these obvious concerns. Maybe a bill to require FBI bodycams could find bipartisan support to prove their altruism.

Federal Bureau of Instigation - fresh off of the Michigan embarrassment how exactly do people give the FBI any respect?

How do normal people respect donald?

I doubt he gets indicted. If he loses, it should finally put an end to his political career. His ego will try to keep him in the spotlight, but everyone at that time should be ready to move on.

Normal people don't respect him. What's being mistaken as respect for Donald is the criticism of the constant battle to put him behind bars.

"Will this make Trump's base angry?"

They're always angry. The "fuck your feelings" crowd is always angry, yes. So who cares if the FBI and DOJ do something to make them mad. Screw their grievance.

If he or any of his cronies broke laws, hold them accountable. I will say the exact same for Hunter Biden, who has never held office and or worked in the West Wing of The White House. Apart from that, I don't give a shit who feels the need to feel fake outrage and victimhood over having to follow the damn rules. Piss on all of them and let them cry about it.

I’d say it’s a criminal issue at this point
Historically, nobody gets any substantial penalties for a crime related to possession of records. However, someone posted earlier about Trump enacted a law early on in his administration regarding records. I have no clue what the impact is.

It all goes back to the question of ..... if you are going to raid a residence of a former President, it would seem like there better be the possibility of serious punishment given the optics.

It wasn't a raid. A search warrant was executed. Raid sounds scarier, but it's not like they flew a flash bomb in Eric's crib and busted the door down.

Found this thread interesting.

The law was specifically because they didn’t like HRC getting away when the whole server thing that happened lol.

That really depends on the records. We don’t even know what classified documents he kept.
If he was already asked by National Archives to turn over everything to them and he didn’t and an FBI informant told the FBI he still had documents in his safe… it doesn’t really matter what he kept. That’s criminal.

I’m hoping it isn’t very very sensitive stuff.

The GOP don’t give two fucks about truth. Propaganda only. It’s blatant misinformation.

Rand Paul said they planted stuff.

Both he and Rubio are going to keep their seats easily this November. Incredible that this kind of lying has become completely normal.

What did Trump have and what was he going to do with it? There's a question no one seems to care about.

Right. What did he keep after the National Archives came for and why did he lie and keep it?

I agree but let not pretend the other side is full of integrity and live in the glass house. Both side just want to win elections to line their pockets. Truth only matters in politics when it’s convenient.
