9 hours on site. They obviously knew what they were looking for and where it was. Had to break open a safe. Sounds like me looking for keys and wallet in the morning. 😂

Judging by the amount of posts this is like your Christmas but will probably turn into another Russia gate. Are you assuming just because there was a raid on Trumps house something will actually come out of this? Like a kid in a candy store.
Yep stealing classified documents that you know you weren’t supposed to take is totally cool.

Does anyone actually believe the White House first heard about the raid on twitter as they claim?

There are many people, with skeletons in the closet on both sides, now praying that Trump doesn't run again and win.

The issue here seems to be violations of security of high state documents, which could contain issues endangering elements of national security. This is NOT a joke, or "just one of those things." There are very good reasons in this very dangerous and nasty dark world for prohibiting persons (of ANY rank) taking documents to any non-secure location. ALL documents must be thoroughly vetted in secret by professionals before their national security implications (if any) are assessed. Violations of this are against a serious law. It's NOT a casual act; that comment would be extremely naive. And, it is not acceptable for anyone to make Security assessments on their own. This person has been briefed on this issue long ago when taking office, and has been told more than once after office that he was wrong to take these documents and must return them, as they are not his property for good state department reasons.

As an aside: when this guy was elected, I heard two different former directors of security elements in our country (one a three letter agency and one a military high-rank) who said that the "personality" of this individual was a concern. The "loose cannon" nature of his speaking in public was shocking enough that talk within a certain three-letter agency was whether they needed (for security purposes only --- as that's all they care about in that place) NOT to include certain types of information in briefings. This worry was almost immediately actualized when the new President made off-the-cuff revealing comments about US military plans.

Republican supporters REALLY need to get back to their roots and Dump Trump out of them. This guy's no republican anyway; just a self-aggrandizing megalomaniac looking only to his own ego story. The True Republican/ True Democrat dichotomy is a good balancing of power when both are advocating their root policies AND are talking to one another. We must get back to that to have a well-functioning and civil governance. This @sshat is the never-wavering Divider of all that. (Even destroying or trying to destroy everyone in the Republican Party who doesn't trail obediently in his ego's wake. How people don't see this stuns me.)

.... but I'm still reserving judgement on the reasonableness of this current search order and the extent of damage possible, until more comes in. I still stand by the above paragraphs whether he was badly-treated by the Justice Department on this search operation or not. I don't want Rogue operations in my ideal USA either, so let's see if this was rogue or legal and just.

Very agreeable except for how Hillary got to laugh her way through an infinitely more comprehensive violation of security that happened IN REAL TIME, not some aged documents.

That "loose cannon" deserves a Nobel Peace Prize for the Abraham Accords - but Obama gets one for being black. First president in ages to NOT go to war, how unacceptable for career war mongers and spooks. Three letter agency heads also colluded to promote the Russia collusion hoax with falsified documents (anyone still holding on to that one?) - same three letter agency busting Trump's home safe yesterday. How does this pass anyone's smell test? Burden of proof is on the FBI, not Trump.

I just hope, for the sake of humanity, that nobody is destroying any documents relating to the handling of Joe Biden. A national archive of his handling instructions would be one museum worth visiting.

FBI was not the three letter agency I heard referred to.

Genuinely weird take. I hope that you will welcome (and be honored I suppose) to join NDAK as my second "ignore."
Note that Razor (who I continually disagree with) at least was able to see this man as a problem even for the Republican Party.

"A commercial real estate firm held in contempt of court for failing to hand over records on its appraisals of several Trump Organization properties to New York's attorney general has turned over nearly 36,000 documents, court filings show."

"New York Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron had found Cushman & Wakefield in contempt last month for not producing documents in state Attorney General Letitia James' civil probe into the Trump Organization's business practices and ordered the firm to pay a $10,000-a-day fine until it complied."

Turning out to be a very bad week for 45

Hope you like the egg on your face when this all amounts to a big nothing burger.
That the justice system in the country saw fit to sanction the FBI raiding the home of a POTUS will never be a nothing burger. Glad to see where you stand.

I think Blazers would agree that the FBI raiding the home of a POTUS is a HUGE deal. He just believes that the end result will be that nothing comes out of it. If so, Trump can play the oppressed card when he runs next time. I'm skeptical anything comes out of it too.

He will any way hence his statement. And many people on one side of the aisle will go along willingly to vote for this pos charlatan again. Hard to understand the apathy at work here

The guy he shares the data with is a known Russian agent who is also now on the FBI wanted list:

And FTR he shared what the Mueller report called “sensitive internal GOP polling data and campaign strategy” and is by its very nature is NOT public.
The Senate select committee report said they had evidence Kilimjick was actively working for GRU at the time of the hack and leak operation in2016.

He shared multiple tranches of internal data with KK leading up to the election even when he wasn’t a legitimate part of the campaign anymore.
Gotta disagree vociferously with your “take”
I'm not sure sharing internal polling is problematic.

No need to destroy anything if you are the Biden crowd. Just box it up and send it to the University of Delaware.

Your hatred for the guy clouds your ability to look objectively at his accomplishments or policies. Bad people are capable of good things. You come to the Trump thread and throw a hissy fit at the first person to challenge your gospel truths under the premise of "orange man bad" and anything that is remotely positive toward DJT is an assault on humanity.

Raiding a former president's house by the FBI - this better be a bulletproof case of an undeniably egregious act - and that is before factoring the FBI's work in the Russia collusion HOAX. I expect they will find some haiku he wrote on the toilet that technically should have been archived as cause for throwing him in jail - which will make Cack explode in a cosmic orgasm that destroys the galaxy. We all know this is a political hit meant to knock him off the 2024 ballot and any "findings" will be released well after that election. The most investigated person in history, twice impeached

Are you pro-war? Anti middle east peace? Russia collusion truther? Big gubmint lover? Trust the FBI with anything? Such weird positions, how could anyone substantiate such hogwash!

Judge who approved FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago once linked to Jeffrey Epstein

I'm sure there is no meat on this bone. Jail Epstein's client list and then we can talk about how horrible of a human Trump is. Shit there probably wouldn't be anyone left in DC if that were released. It isn't a reliable source - unless MSNBC and CNN corroborate it, it is 100% false. Good to have another conspiracy theory since all the other ones keep turning into facts.

Honestly though - all the TDS folks need to denounce Russia collusion before their opinion on the FBI raid carries any weight whatsoever. That includes OMM who won't see this since he now embraces cancel culture.

Far from a nothing burger. But if they don't provide folks with a compelling reason... I suspect they won't like the outcome.

Ok sharing internal polling day at with a known Russian intelligence asset while GRU was actively injecting itself into our election process is cool and not at all unacceptable?

It absolutely is problemstic to collaborate with known adversaries to our government. Especially if you aren’t registere to do so under FARA

A reason? Why do they have to tell me what the reason was. They had the director of the FBI the USAG and a federal judge ok it. That is enough for me regardless of what they find.

It would be like the FBI sanctioning millions of dollars for a fake investigation connecting a POTUS to Russia. Glad you learned a lesson there.
The only lesson I learned is that unbecoming actions taken by our president is not always illegal or criminal and that doesn’t mean shit to if the guy should be president again which he shouldn’t. His actions and behavior completely undermines the office and strength of the POTUS.

The FBI follows all kinds of leases and an investigation isn’t the same as obtaining a search warran. Their investigation of the predicate did lead to criminal charges along the way but the predicate for the investigation is what allowed it to proceed. Sorry not even the same thing.

Even Mueller said that Trump could be charged with obstruction of justice but not until after he was out of office and Garland let that expire I believe. Sooooooo

The investigations led to the identification and prosecution ofnumerous people violating the FARA laws which means they were actively undermining americas goals and priorities for profit from an adversarial government.

Because the Federal government going after a political opponent is generally frowned upon.

When Jair Bolsonaro got after a political opponent in Brazil, people rightly called him out for it. When Putin does the same thing in Russia, people rightly call him out for it.

I'm sure you wouldn't have had any skepticism if this had happened under the prior administration.

I'm not sure sharing internal polling is problematic.

It wasn’t just polling data. It was their internal lists of party affiliation, voting history, personal data, etc. They used it to advance a propaganda campaign in our election over social media platforms. Foreign interference in our elections used to be considered a no-no. But if YOU don’t think it’s problematic, I suppose it’s no big deal.

I was reliably informed for years is ok to use foreign intelligence in elections. Christopher Steele says hello.

Such a popular position across the board, yet nothing will ever happen. Tragic really.
Yup, it appears that way sadly. I was quite disappointed that Maxwell's arrest didn't kick up more dirt (in every direction).
