Ahh, but the threat of them sure works well when used correctly. Colombia, Panama, Mexico and Canada all fell in line almost immediately. So much for them destroying free trade and hurting the American consumer, eh?

Oh, and Trump's spending $200M now extra in comparison to the deal in December so, did Canada win this? We traded a Fentayl Czar for $200M in funding from the US seems like a pretty good deal for us.

Nothing changes in the analysis that tariffs are a horrible idea and have been in modern times. If what happens is that Trump is now committing another $200M to the border, it seems like a loss in my eyes on this trade war. But hey, nothing like using archaic methods to bully Mexico and then end up spending an additional $200M to help Canada out. I can only imagine what kind of deal Trump strikes with China, over/under on the $200M he's giving Canada?

It is an improvement on the self imposed projected $7.5B he was going to cost American's, I guess people will get tired from all this winning eventually! lol

What should W have done to protect our steel industry?
