He could do nothing and it would be an improvement over the last four years because at least we wouldn't have ridiculous inflation to contend with. It's hilarious you guys lost everything and you're taking victory laps two weeks in. You've got no concrete evidence to back any of it up, you're looking into a crystal ball and you've decided the future is certain doom. If the crystal ball prognostications are anything like his first term, like every time we were told Trump's end was nigh and it came up nothing burgers, I think we'll be fine.
There's all this pearl clutching over tariffs, look what Columbia did when Trump threatened them with tariffs if they weren't taking back their migrants, they reversed course and sent their own plane to pick them up. Consider that it could all be a bluff, or he plans to use the tariffs for leverage. He's made positive impacts already. He pushed Netanyahu even before the inauguration and was instrumental in getting the ceasefire and prisoner exchange done. We're seeing lower border incidents already, and deportations have begun.
I'm not really worried a bit about the economy right now. Based on Trump's first term and Biden's latest one, Trump would have to fuck up pretty royally to tank things as badly as Biden. It's almost impossible to get prices across the board to go down, unless you're seeing surpluses across the board or a drop in demand, prices will always remain somewhat fixed or be increasing with inflation. We could see gas prices drop still, and egg prices could improve once the bird flu runs it's course. At this point I'll take a drop in gas, anything helps. I was happy to see $2.59 yesterday.
It's funny that you think conservatives are the ones responsible for you guys losing total control. You did this to yourselves. You lost independents, as well as some of your own constituents.
