Per 247 Pearsall, the ASU transfer has narrowed his list to Auburn Florida and Oregon.
Love the name. Father Abram Booty, former LSU WR. General Booty comes from a long line of Bootys.

Reminds me more of Avery Davis. Seems to have a solid burst but his lack of production is a bit of a ????*Ben Skowronek has entered the chat*
You can expect both an increase in passing effectiveness and in competition played at Notre Dame that’s for sureI am skeptical.
Apparently the kid stated awhile back that he wanted his final year to get "tape" at WR. So he knew this going into Spring football and Iowa doesn't exactly have a daunting depth chart. Now post Spring, he decides to transfer? Petras is a known quantity at QB and Iowa has traditionally had a risk averse offense. So you can't reasonable believe he was expecting some radical passing change in style or effectiveness. So with that in mind, why transfer now?
That's kind of my point. That fact is the same today as it was 4 months ago. So why wait to transfer until now?You can expect both an increase in passing effectiveness and in competition played at Notre Dame that’s for sure

Possible, but unlikely. This will be his Covid year / 6th year.he probably just graduated
It's a low risk option, IMO.Possible, but unlikely. This will be his Covid year / 6th year.
Apparently Mason is more of a punt block than a punt return ST coach but we will seeIt's a low risk option, IMO.
Who knows if Avery will be ready to go in fall camp, we could use the depth at the position.
I think your questions are valid but I don't see the harm in taking a veteran guy who will, at the very least, immediately improve our special teams. Feel like we haven't had a return game since Vontez Duff. Okay, I'm exaggerating...Tom Zbikowski.
As long as he isn't a fair-catch special teams coach, like we've grown so accustomed to around hereApparently Mason is more of a punt block than a punt return ST coach but we will see
He likes to set up kick returns, though, and ND could use a body there so as to not risk Tyree or Styles for want of a home-run hitter.Apparently Mason is more of a punt block than a punt return ST coach but we will see
