He’s not choosing ND. I’d love to be wrong but right now ND’s basically offering their #3 slot in the depth chart. I can’t imagine that’s too enticing for most Grad Transfers. I could see a FR-JR coming in but not a one and done dude cause ND’s got Kyren and I don’t think Tyree is gonna get worse and be downgraded from the 2 slot. Ideally ND could have Kyren, Tyree, C’Bo, KAR, Audric, and Diggs and ride with that.

He was a very solid lacrosse prospect... good athlete with room to grow with his offensive game as a midfielder.

If they had it they'd be playing now since it's the weakest position on the team. ND would be lucky if McClould somehow came back.

I have only ever seen TB on film, and while obviously and athlete, there is a lot left to find out. Is he the next great thing, is he a stud against poor competition, or is he the guy we saw at camps who struggled to throw and accurate ball?

There is a lot more to know about Hilinski and has played a decent amount, was a highly ranked kid out of HS.

So, do I like him better then TB?..... I don't know TB well enough to answer that. Right now all TB is, is a shiny new toy that we haven't taken out of the box yet. I hope like heck he is the next Trevor Lawrence, but he could also be the next Brandon Wimbush.

Don't we have a total of 4 QBs next season (one injured) none of which have thrown a ball.
I would definitely take Hilinski if he is the best transfer option and let them all compete - who wants it the most?

Yeah, it's a tough question. I am all for bringing in a transfer to lead the team next season, I am just not sure that bringing in a transfer that has that much eligibility left is the right thing to do. It certainly is an intriguing option though.

I agree 100%, if TB, DP or BC are legit then a 1-2 year rental might do the trick, and that is why I really like the Cohen kid from Wisco. That being said, if the 3 we have on the roster now are MEH and we pass on someone who is more then that, well that would suck. At the same time Hilinski or Cohen could come in and be awful. No one knows anything to be a forsure.

Yes. In additon, in January the NCAA is going to vote on (and most believe they will pass) immediate eligibility for a student’s first transfer.
