I'm from South Bend, where we had Tornadoes come through in the past...They are called TORNADO sirens for a reason. There were no funnel clouds and they even knew that it was straight line winds, not converging weather patterns. If we had sirens every time there was bad weather, nobody would know when a Tornado was on the ground and to really seek shelter. I hope nobody was seeking shelter last night because it was just a regular storm with lightning and thunder. You continue to have sirens blaring for weak storms and the boy that cried wolf will be crying when the wolf actually bites him and he wasn't ready for it. I would have no problem with sirens going off if the conditions were very bad and that even though a tornado hasn't touched, it was inevitable. Just my opinion I guess. When a logical person sees bad weather, they should turn on their tv or radio to see whats coming...the sirens should not be telling you that. This thread should be merged with the sissies thread. Haha. Was a good show of lighting though.
