Im just so tired of watching our offense and everything looks so fucking hard. Our WRs are always having to make grabs in coverage or having to dive for balls. No sense of space or openness at all. Watching this Tennessee Pitt game and it looks like they're playing a different sport. So much grass everywhere. Feels like the field is only 10 yards wide when I'm watching ND play.

I honestly find it very hard to separate the offensive quality from the defensive quality from the head coaching quality from the speed and conditioning quality from the athleticism recruiting quality from watching this game.

To pick just one: I don't think that I've ever seen us so universally slow compared to an opponent. So, hack away at Tommy, but don't be hypocrites about all the rest of the inadequacy you just saw. This was "a Team effort."

This is exactly right - it has been our issue for what feels like the last decade, and will continue to be our issue until we take steps to address it.

I hoped canning DelVaughn would help more than it did, but Tommy has to go.

It’s weird to not feel like the crazy person for saying Tommy wasn’t the answer at OC for once.
the chances that he was going to be the right hire (as in the best available) were extremely low. But I bet Kelly consulted the players and they really backed him. A coach who listens to the players on these issues is not doing their job.

Was there even a thorough national search for a OC? I just picture Kelly lazily waddling his fat ass 10 feet down the hallway to promote Rees.

I'm here now... horrible play calling last 10 quarters. And no developed QBs? Mishandled Moore's recruitment.

Fire Rees

Also we apparently owe Jeff Quinn an apology. Cause no one can help this line. Even Patterson was bad.

Dan Mullen and Tom Herman are both available. Bring in Herman and maybe he can stay on as OC when you can Freeman and hire Myer.

*Slams another line of Hopium*
If Herman is available they should hire him tomorrow.

Much like Rees, Mullen can't recruit. But unlike Rees, he's a very good offensive mind. Sign me up.

I’ve been watching Tommy call games for years now, and I still can’t tell you what he is. What’s his philosophy? What does he believe in? What’s in his DNA as a playcaller?

He’s just throwing things at the wall with his calls. How many times did you see the offense line up and look like they weren’t confident? How many times was it clear that multiple players were running the wrong play and not communicating?

Guess some tommy boy love is still alive . The love for that POS by some is one of a kind.

I know the grass isn't always greener, but this grass is pretty fucking brown. Change is needed on the offensive side. At least one...

Correll and Lugg probably should get benched, Patterson back to C. Rocko and Kristofic to guards. I don't see how the younger guys could do a worse job than what we've had in there. I can't believe these upperclassmen don't have more pride. Fix the OL yesterday, can't even properly evaluate any of the QBs until that happens.
