I made a meat loaf my senior year at ND. I mixed and matched the ingredients from two recipes since we didn't have all the ingredients called for by either. I, along with my two housemates, rated it the "best meat loaf ever." I should have made notes. I've not been able to re-create it in 40 years.

I like my mashed potatoes with finely diced onion, sour cream and cream cheese and/or ricotta mixed in. Sweet potatoes and turnip and/or parsnips simmered with the potatoes is nice.

Green beans are nice. Do you saute them in butter and garlic or add the butter and garlic after steaming them?

I've never tried ricotta cheese in potatoes, so that's now on the to do list.

Sauted in butter and garlic. ....mmmmmmmm.

I just got a meal named after me at Dan's Deli in Columbus, Ohio.

Hot dog topped with gyro meat, cheese, bacon, and tzaztiki sauce. Called "The Kiamos"

The combination of staying out late last night and the time change are messing up my sleep. I got work in less than 6 hours.

Didn't want to start a thread about it, (although I was very tempted!)

I know there's some phans on this board like myself.

There may have been a different thread dealing with this that I could bump, but I couldn't find it, so:

HAPPY Pi DAY!

Pi on the Saxophone! Pi in Song! - YouTube

My son played saxophone beginning in 4th grade and has a degree in applied mathematics. There may be a connection but I don't recall this being in his repertoire.

And, to add a touch of magic that the number deserves:

The numbers don't lie
Pi circles around the Sun
Orbs in harmony

Sad Trombone

"Sad Trombone... when a rim shot just isn't appropriate. This is a fun and humorous tool to use on those tools in your office."

In a few weeks I will be taking this oath:

"I am an engineer, in my profession I take deep pride.
To it I owe solemn obligations.
Since the stone age, human progress has been spurred by the engineering genius.
Engineers have made usable nature's vast resources of material and energy for humanity's benefit.
Engineers have vitalized and turned to practical use the principles of science and the means of technology.
Were it not for this heritage of accumulated experience, my efforts would be feeble.
As an engineer, I pledge to practice integrity and fair dealing, tolerance, and respect, and to uphold devotion to the standards and the dignity of my profession, conscious always that my skill carries with it the obligation to serve humanity by making the best use of Earth's precious wealth.
As an engineer, I shall participate in none but honest enterprises.
When needed, my skill and knowledge shall be given without reservation for the public good.
In the performance of duty and in fidelity to my profession, I shall give the utmost.
- The Obligation of the Engineer"

For a long time I have been an electric razor guy. Recently I started using a blade every now and then when I wanted a closer shave. I have been trying out all different kinds and tried the Schick Hydro. I have to say, this is hands down the best one I have had recently. I have sensitive skin and this one really felt good. I was wondering if any else thought the same.

When I want to shave, I just pull up a picture of Diaco yelling at the guys in practice and the hair shaves itself.
