Since Indy is right in the optimal path for viewing, they are expecting close to a million visitors for this. City has already issued updates on what to expect. Highways are going to come to a standstill. A lot of places like the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Zoo, observatory at Butler are hosting parties. Looks like we will close at noon to allow everyone to get home before the gridlock hits.

I was living in Columbia, SC during the last eclipse and the traffic was bonkers. I had no idea people traveled from as far away as they do to witness this.

Pretty cool for me, though. I lived right in the path in 2017 and now live right in the path again.
