I like it. I already got so much green being a Packer fan also. I like the design. I'm picking one up tomorrow!

Gerry Faust's research claimed Madonna Blue was ND's true color.

"Faust's return to blue came after the new Irish coach suggested some research into the University archives to determine the history of Notre Dame's gold and blue colors.

Those findings indicated the blue color was actually Madonna blue,a light blue shade, as opposed to the navy blue shade that has been most common in recent Notre Dame uniforms."

How bout that?

How about this: I actually spoke to Gerry Faust when I was a young buck. He had his arm around me and I asked about the stripes. He said he thought he would "jazz it up for the guys." It seems the true blue is up to the coach. I like the Navy Blue. Color of every vehicle I have ever owned (except for my current white company vehicle). Midnight Metallic Blue on my T-Bird SuperCoupe was my favorite. I actually purchased my first vehicle, a Ford Ranger, simply because it caught my attention as the only Navy Blue vehicle on the lot. I guess I'm dorky that way.

I painted the bedroom in the fixer-upper house I owned Madonna blue, with white trim and golden parkay floor. It was golden.

So we're bringing back elements from the Faust era for this year? Wow... that's a good omen....

Just ordered mine.

Yeah the color isn't the best, but I wasn't too keen on last year's either. I got used to that one, and I'll get used to this one too.

You and Dre need to team up and design one. Make it a grey shirt with a blue "Notre Dame du Lac" in front, and nothing on the back. The rest is up to you.

The picture on the back is of Jeff Samardzija and David Grimes if anyone was wondering.

If "Notre Dame du Lac" is on the front, and there's nothing on the back, what the heck is there left to do?

Saw it in person. It's pretty close to a royal blue. Not a big fan.

I don't understand how The Shirt staff manages to screw this up every few years. 3 out of every 4 years it should be a varying shade of green. Put some sick design on it (circa 2002 and 2003) and print it.

It looked carolina blue to me *maybe my screen is set different)... I dig the shirt though. I guess if thats the big issue that everyone has with this season so far, then we're on the right track eh? :)

I feel like I have become jaded with the shirt. For several years, I would get all worked up and swear up and down that "I WILL NOT BUY THAT SHIRT!"..... then I buy it and wear it all season...

I will buy it again this year too.

Hey, at least it doesn't say "Rise and Strike" anywhere on it.

Put me down for two of the "Notre Dame Du Lac" shirts.
