S-Town was hot garbage. Idk how anyone could enjoy that. It was pointless.

I've been listening to The Model Health Show lately. Decent stuff if you're into a different viewpoint on fitness, diet, and overall health. The co-host is beyond annoying though. If you can get past her and focus on the main message by the host and/or the interviewed guests, you may enjoy it as I have.

I occasionally listen to Bigger Pockets for real estate investing advice. (Even though I haven't been a landlord in some time, I still enjoying learning and plan to get back into the game at some point.)

A co-worker just recommended Malcolm Gladwell's Revisionist History. I haven't listened to it yet so nothing to report.

Buddy of mine also loves Pardon My Take. He's suggested it numerous times. I haven't given it a chance yet.

I'm selective with Joe Rogan. Most days, I thoroughly enjoy listening to him and his guests.

I'm still hooked on Up and Vanished, but that's about to wrap. I've dabbled in a few other murder/crime/mystery type podcasts, but none really capture me like Up&Vanished did.

I listened to first 5 episodes of 7 of S-Town.

It doesn't suck, but it's not as good as Serial. The John B character is really interesting guy. Super smart, trapped, rich, doesn't trust banks, just an interesting guy.

He was a different kind of guy, trapped in his own head and unable to take accountability for his life. Always pointing towards someone else, and when he acknowledged his own failures, it was always in a weird self-deprecating joke. It was a sad story but not something worth producing. It was just...strange.

Lance Armstrong has been putting out a podcast recapping each stage of the Tour De France. It's very interesting and a great way to keep up with the Tour. It's called Stages.

Best podcast going right now is hands down "The Jocko Podcast" with Jocko Willink and Echo Charles. The Joe Rogan Experience is usually pretty interesting as well.

Constitutionally Speaking is a great podcast. All about the beginnings of the Constitution, ratification, and the Convention.

"Pod Save America" is a great listen, during these trying political times.

Whats up everyone?! First post here under the new name. Formally "Domer_Nurse09" I do believe. I have not posted in a long time but I am a long time follower of the board. Honestly I cant believe I didn't share this a long time ago but life is busy. In February of 2017 I started my own podcast originally was called the "Domer Nurse" Podcast. I used that name because I am a nurse and obviously a huge Irish fan. Eventually I changed the name to "East of the Bend", the name was a bit more catchy. The show is a Notre Dame athletics based show but we also tackle top sports stories from around the country. All episodes are free on iTunes, soundcloud, google play, and really anywhere you get your pods.

The reason I am making this post is because tonight (7:45 PM ET) we are doing our World Cup preview show on Facebook live and Notre Dame Soccer Head Coach Chad Riley is going to be calling in for an interview and help us break everything down. It's easily our biggest show since we started and thought I would pass this along for those that are interested. I reference this board quite a bit and always promote the Irish Envy page for anyone who needs good Irish content and discussion, not sure why it never hit me to post about the show. thanks for any and all support, hopefully I can start jumping back into some discussions in the future! Go Irish!!

Hey everyone! forgive me if this post is floating around somewhere because I tried to post last week and it doesn't look like it came through, but have not posted in a couple years and this is the first time I have posted under the new name (former name Domer_Nurse09), so its likely "operator error" lol.

I cant believe I waited this long to let this board know that I started a podcast called "East of the Bend" in feb of 2017. It's a Notre Dame athletics based show but we also do some other unique episodes and cover top sports stories from around the world. I reference this board quite a bit because the conversation and knowledge in these threads are 2nd to none in the land of notre dame fans. The reason I am posting now is because we were able to get Notre Dame Soccer head coach Chad Riley on for an interview Friday during our world cup preview show. That episode as well as the other 28 are all free on SoundCloud, iTunes, and really anywhere you listen podcasts. he spent about 40 minutes talking to us and it was a great interview whether your interested in soccer or not. Thanks for any listens and support. Look forward to your feedback. Hopefully be able to jump back into some discussions in the future. Go Irish!!

I have always been a huge Bill Simmons fan, but just recently took up listening to "The rewatchables". Only made it through silence of the lambs and any given Sunday, but it's a pretty cool concept so far

Over the past year, I've forced myself to be more open minded when it came to differing viewpoints regarding politics in general. I made it a point to understand the bias prior to reading/listening. Once I accepted that bias and learned that it's ok to disagree, but it's even better to continue to learn, I have found Ben Shapiro, Dave Rubin's The Rubin Report, and Pod Save America to be solid podcasts. With that said, I've completely moved on from TYT. I was hooked early on, but I now realize how far left they are and how smug Cenk is. I can't stand the show.

Update on The Model Health Show that I suggested a while back. He evidently dropped his annoying co-host. That podcast has literally changed my life. I've been sleeping better, eating better, brief meditation periods have been productive, and just being more health conscious overall in my daily life. With that, I've noticed a huge difference for the better. Strongly recommend giving it a listen.

Any Dan Lebatard Podcast fans? I started 2 months ago and am completely hooked.

I largely tune out any sports commentary, whether it's on TV or the radio. As I've gotten older, I realize I care less and less about sports, and personally, watching a sporting event and then spending time having someone on TV tell me what I just saw, or vice a versa for a sports podcast after the fact, is a major waste of time IMO.

But the Lebatard podcast is just great, because they realize sports shouldn't be taken too seriously, and shouldn't be talked about non-stop.

They're freaking hilarious. Stugotz is the best. The weekly "looks like" skit with Tim Kirchin might be the best segment of all time.

If you're not familiar with the show, give it a shot. The cast is genius. Here's an article that best tries to describe it to a new comer:

Absolutely love the Lebatard show and its personalities. Heads and shoulders above most of ESPN's daytime content.

To be clear, are you talking podcast or the TV show? I have seen the TV show only a couple of times, and probably never will get into it since it's daytime. Obviously same crew so it's similar, but I'm guessing TV show they have less freedom.

Both. Unless there's another podcast I need to get into, the one ESPN puts out for Lebatard is a condensed version of the radio/TV show that includes the local hour that doesn't get carried on TV. If there's another one, I need to check it out.

We usually have the TV show on in the background at work.

Dan Carlin's Hardcore History deserves another shoutout. I've been unable to do anything besides steep in our world history, when given audio time.

Got it - didn't know that then, and I believe we're talking about the same show. Didn't realize the podcast was basically the TV show.

Greg Code is awesome too. He'd be so boring by himself but somehow he's just perfect.

It's just a great podcast. The time, effort, and research he does is awesome. Love what he's been doing lately with this new Addendum series to be able to talk with historians and writers to get their perspective.

Another shout out by me for Constitutionally Speaking. Anyone listen to it?
