Both. Unless there's another podcast I need to get into, the one ESPN puts out for Lebatard is a condensed version of the radio/TV show that includes the local hour that doesn't get carried on TV. If there's another one, I need to check it out.

We usually have the TV show on in the background at work.

If you guys like Up and Vanished that studio, Tenderfoot in Atlanta, has another podcast called Sworn. It's more episodic than U&V. They'll cover a case every 3 to 5 episodes instead of spending an entire season on each one. It's a different narrator, but Payne Lindsey produces this one and you'll hear him doing some of the interviews every once and awhile.

It's not as good as U&V but as a true crime pod junkie it was enough to make my withdrawls go away.

Edit: OOOOH ALSO THE RFK TAPES. That's a must listen. Absolutely fascinating look into the assassination of Robert Kennedy. It is so damn good.

Started the Happy Face podcast. It's the story of the Happy Face Killer as told by his daughter. Pretty interesting stuff if you're into true crime.

Way behind the times but just finished S Town and thoroughly enjoyed listening to the rants and raves of John B.

Don't know if this was mentioned earlier in the thread as I haven't read through it, but I am enjoying Business Wars. They do a series of four or five podcasts of battles between business giants. Nike vs Adidas/Sony vs Nintendo/Coke vs Pepsi/Napster vs Record Labels...pretty cool.

We have a 3.5 hour drive tomorrow and need a podcast. Any suggestions?

My wife and I have very different tastes in podcasts, but could agree on "Serial" and "Dear John".

The Podcast Caliphate is pretty good.

Good investigative journalism centering around a Canadian who joined Isis. Kind of like a detective story mixed with murder mystery and a bit of Mission Impossible. Episodes are short and the story moves along quickly.

Blowing the dust off of this thread....

Anyone have a recent podcast they'd recommend? We have an 8 hours trip one way to ND.

Haven't really listened to one since season 2 of Serial, so "recent" is being used loosely.

not a podcast but an audio book I just listened to again is "The Girls he Adored" by Jonathan Nasaw. It's a cat and mouse game between a serial killer and a FBI agent, about a 4 hr listen.

1) Pardon my take (all sports)
2). Cover 3 (college football)
3). The Solid Verbal (college football)

The Joe Rogan Podcast is the best IMO...but if there’s kids in the car, I’d pass. He gets some great guests. Dave Rubin gets similarly good guests as well.

I like the Malcolm Gladwell podcast, too. It’s called Revisionist History.

Birdnote.
Short episodes (about 3 minutes) each day about a different bird or interesting bird fact.

I'll still always mention Hardcore History. Plenty of catalogue to choose from. Great series on WWI, WWII, ancient kings, Rome, etc.

I really like Constitutionally Speaking. Has a good amount of episodes, but they haven't made one since July. Does a great job breaking down the Bill of Rights.

If you don’t listen to the “Pod of Gold” podcast w/ Eric Hansen & Tyler James from the SBT, check out this week’s edition. The featured guest is Vinny Cerrato, Recruiting Coordinator from the Holtz Era.

Eric & Tyler always have a guest for the first segment & Vinny has been the best one yet. Especially if you are too young to have been an ND fan during the Holtz Era it’s a must listen. Cerrato was way ahead of his time. Back then, a coach could be a full-time recruiting coordinator and nothing else. The NCAA later mandated that they also be a position coach.

While Holtz was the CEO of ND as he rebuilt the program back to glory, Cerrato was the architect. Listen to his recruiting philosophies & how he earned the role from Holtz.

It’s fair to say that ND football has not truly been arguably one of the best teams in the nation since Cerrato’s final recruiting class graduated...1993.

Thanks for the heads up, need to listen. Think we had 4 straight #1 classes with him.
