Season 2 started Sunday, and it was pretty damn good. The first season kept my attention just enough to get through it, but this one looks like the real deal. Reminded me of a more risqué version of Lost. Anybody else watching?

I was JUST about to start this thread. I freaking love this show. Season one was so miserable and twisted, and this one looks like it'll change it up to be sinister and twisted. You don't go to bed feeling very good about the world after an episode, but damn if it isn't powerful.

Miserable as in 'hard to get though'?? Looking for a new show to watch and have seen previews before other shows for this one. Sounds interesting.

Dude this show is twisted and weird and I just. My significant other has got me watching. I'm not sure what is going on and I'm not even sure I like it yet, but it's definetly captivating.

My wife spends every episode "WTFing" to herself. Andy Greenwald at Grantland hates the show but his write-ups are pretty funny.

[A]s much as I’m willing to admit that the show is made with real skill and great care, I’m still often struck with the thought that I hate it and, like Kevin Garvey, I kind of want to punch it in its smug, credulous face.

I would definitely recommend giving it a shot. Very intriguing show, but if you like a "payoff," stay away. I have a feeling the big mysteries surrounding the series will go unexplained.

I hope they do (stay unexplained). The show works best as a character study of how humans deal with tragedy rather than a science fiction piece about how that tragedy came to be.

That's what will separate the viewers. People who like a gripping drama will love it, those who want supernatural/sci-fi elements won't if it stays on course.

I think they've done a good job of not making too many promises in that regard. Lost made you feel like everything was supposed to be explained and connected and left you feeling empty if it wasn't.

I watched the first season, and debated throwing in the towel because it was just so f'ing weird, but I ended up sticking it out. I recorded the first episode while I was doing a project in my garage, and when I walked by the TV I saw some thing about some sort of aborigine woman dying on a beach with her baby in her arms and thought that I recorded the wrong show. A few minutes later I walked by the TV and saw characters that looked familiar, so apparently it was the right show. I donno, I was confused. I'll probably watch it tonight and get caught up.

Catching up tonight as well. Watched the first season and loved it. Way F'd up stuff, but good.

Looking forward to the new seasons of Homeland and The Knick as well. The Nick can be quite twisted as well. American Horror Story starting this week as well.

How alike Lost would you say it is? First two seasons of Lost I thought were the most intense 2 seasons of a show ever. Then it was pretty bad after that. Would you compare it to the beginning or end of Lost?

Calling it Lost was probably a bad comparison on my part, but the premise is similar: Tragedy strikes a group of people, and unexplained/creepy/intriguing stuff happens.

Just watched S1 pilot. What's are the people in all white supposed to be? I didn't get who they are. Are they in some sort of purgatory?

Definitely one of my new favorite shows. I got hooked two episodes into it. It's weird but I enjoy feeling hopeless and confused after an episode knowing that I, like the characters of the show, are trying to make sense of what is happening around them. Like most of you guys have said, the show doesn't give the impression that you'll ever get all the answers and I hope it stays that way.

Not going to lie, I watched three and half episodes last night and I couldn't finish the fourth because I was starting to get depressed. Had to turn it off 20 mins in. Never had a show do that to me.

Great show but now I know I can't super-binge watch it.

I usually don't pay much mind to opening credits, but out of the corner of my eye I noticed Reza Aslan is a consulting producer????

I might start watching tonight. Sounds like season 1 was meh while 2 is blowing everyone away. Should I sit through the first season, is it like a vital prerequisite or can I hope into season 2?

Watch season 1. It's good. A little out there at times but good.

Thought this week's episode was kind of a dud. I don't care about the wife or the son or Holy Wayne in the slightest.

Loving this season. This weeks episode amped up. Have a feeling things are about to real.
