With our current depth at Safety, one would think we'd only be looking at journeyman-level recruits or better.

Don't get up. I'll let myself out.

From the little bit of his pic he looks like he's got some shoulders on him already. At 6'2" he can add some weight and be a big thumper.

ND, Oklahoma and Boise seem to be his early top 3 (all offered), but he also has interest in LSU, FSU and Bama, the first two of which have been expressing interest.

States on ND that he liked them even before we offered, because he is real big on academics, likes the rich alumni history and the power of the degree. Seems to be hearing the 40 year decision pitch from the staff, if not just straight getting it.

Hopefully we can get him to visit this spring.

If he's serious about the 40 year decision we should have a solid chance. The question is how serious is he?

Scout article 2/17 Michigan, ND and OU are his top with ND and Michigan leading. A person close to his coach and him played at ND and was coached by Mattison. He is attempting to make his decision after the summer but if not it will be after the season. Says the fall is for football and school. Claims 6'3, 185# with 4.5 40

Absolute steal for a 3-star IMO. Closes really well and is fast. Loves to hit, and he'll have to be taught more on doing it the legal way, but huge upside IMO.

And most importantly, he has 5-star hair. Do want.

Now says ND leads. Then OU, BSU and Michigan. Wants to visit this spring but may not until summer. Talks to Cooks multiple times a week and joe Thomas daily.

I'll second that. Another gem from Texas if we can land him in the end. I love how violent he is in his tackling. Just so much to love about that kid.

Basically the same from BGI. ND is his dream offer. Won't commit until he visits but it seems like a formality at this point.

So just how good is this kid? Generally speaking, beating Oklahoma and Michigan for a player from Texas says some pretty good things.
