That sucks, we had a minor league BBall team in town (they just closed up shop last season actually) and I was only about 45 minutes or so from Angel Stadium....

I actually saw KGjr play in the minors, remember it well. I was like 8 years old or so and my parents took me to old ass Spirit Field in Down Town San Bernardino (it was literally like a big high school stadium with crappy old ass bleachers, it's still there but just used now for little league and softball). My dad was telling about how this kid was going to be Babe Ruth and this and that... he hit a home run, I remember that much.

Side: across the street from Spirit Field is a place called, "The Mexico"... best Cadillac Margaritas I've ever had.. HUGE margaritas.

Angels traded for Kinsler and it sounds as though he will waive his no trade... the Angels were one of ten teams on his no trade list ( he has hated on us for years) but apparently something changed his mind... going to be strange seeing him in an Angel uni.

Rumor White Sox want to take Machado and back door him to the Yankees.

Orioles obviously would prefer he doesn’t come back to the AL East. Would be fascinating if deal went down.

Reading through...LMAO at the Trout better than Griffey Jr conversation, at least for now anyway. Let's see Trout drop 600+ bombs then that debate can be revisited. The Kid was bad dude at the plate and in the field in a time when everyone else dropping bombs was juiced up. Sweetest swing ever.

This year, Camp, I'm curious how this Ohtuni is going to be used??? Myself personally would rather him hitting the ball everyday...

I can see thinking otherwise, but the fact that so many find this laughable shows me ya'll aren't paying attention. Trout is the best I've ever watched... dead serious. Griffey held that title for all my life until now with Bonds being right there roids or no roids. I'm not comparing careers, I'm stating the best I personally ever watched.

With that said I would be curious to see a comparison of either career to this point (first six years or so of both). I'd assume without digging they're similar in total with Trout having the slightly better numbers in most cases. He's crazy good. MLB marketing sucks butt checks, this dude should be on every ad and in every commercial out there like MJ was for the NBA in the 1990s... instead many Americans don't even know who he is and many BASEBALL fans still don't really appreciate how historically great he's been thus far.

I have no idea how they are actually going to use him... like I said this is going to be a wild spring training for my Halos.

I will say this... if the last three seasons of Angels pitching are any indication, there is only one of two possibilities for Ohtani.

1.) He's a super beast, he looks Cy Young worthy and then shuts it down at the break for Tommy John and is out until 2020.

2.) He stays perfectly healthy but can't get anyone out.

His WAR numbers are on pace to smash Junior Griffey's. I love Griffey but if Trout stays healthy he will be ahead of Griffey. And Trout should have 3 MVPs He's 25. If he played for the Yankees or Boston people would view him as the the unquestioned best player in the game.

Trout has a career in base percentage of 410. That's absolutely insane
