Italian Primo Hoagie. We get them before we go to Eagles games almost every week.

Everyone that knows me admires my attention to detail when I am making a sandwich. I love so many but here is one of my favorites. My wife will do a pork loin and stuff it with apricots and apricot jam then make a balsamic reduction to drizzle over it. We'll have it for dinner, but then the next day I cut the loin thin on a pistolet with mayo, tomato, pickle, baby spinach, and creole mustard, I'll make sure I have some of the roasted apricots and jam with a little of the balsamic reduction. Whew! Nice Thread, I'm going shopping before the NFL games start tomorrow.

The Cuban Sandwich is the greatest sandwich ever created by man. End of story.

Never had one. Whats on it?

It's roasted pork, ham, swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard on cuban bread, usually pressed. I've had a few, none that were the best sandwich ever to me, but probably not from the best places either.

I was going to post a creation of mine, but Domer In Happy Valley's post pretty much owned me and resulted in a run to the grocery store.

Imported prosciutto, tomato, avocado, pepperoncini (or banana peppers) and pepper jack cheese on a fresh hard roll (absolutely must be freshly baked) drenched in balsamic vinegar. Best, and super easy, homemade sandwich on the planet.

If you are going for the most tasty, artery clogging meal you can possibly eat, it is called a fat b1tc*

It is a cheese steak with french fries, chicken tenders, and mozzarella sticks on it. It is amazing, and literally all you have to eat for a day you will be that full.

If you are going just basic sandwiches, it has to be what Philly said. Anything Italian

Here's a decent Cuban Sandwich website.
I actually live right next to a Cuban restaurant and their sandwich is so-so. Where I work one of the cooks is Cuban and his mom makes the sandwich with mojo, which he claims is key.

Other great sandwiches: stromboli and of course, the Philly cheese steak with cheeze whiz.

If you live in Southern Cali, look up a place called Busy Bees, if it's still there. Somewhere south of Redondo Beach. Their Busy Bee sandwich is bomb.

After telling my friend last night about my vegan diet, he informed me that earlier that day he had consumed a sandwhich called, the double-mama.

It was a double bacon cheeseburger with shrooms, but each of the buns was a grilled cheese sandwhich. So it was essentially two grill cheeses and a double bacon cheeseburger.

If you guys have a Snarfs, check em out. Good stuff. I am digging on Which-Which as well. Although, I can no longer eat my usual from there.

The sound of this makes me want to vomit.

But I want to try it...

Marble rye is the most underrated bread. Mayonaisse is right next to ketchup in the list of most plebeian condiments. NEVER ruin a great sandwich with mayo.

I'm an Italian Assorted fan myself. Capicolla is so good.

Justin & Jay vs Thurmanator - Man vs Food - YouTube

Thurman's Cafe was on MvF earlier in the year for their famous 'Thurmanator',which is a good burger but not my favorite.
Just the other day I was there and had their 'Blazin Burger' which is a 3/4 lb. burger smothered in Tobasco sauce, and covered with fried jalapeno caps, and added bacon and the works. It was an absolutely wondrous taste.

I always also recommend Litton's Market in Knoxville and The Varsity in Atlanta.

Any sandwich from Primanti Brothers in Pittsburgh. No debate about it

If we're gonna cheat and go outside the home made.
Bob's in South Medford
Steak tip sub or the imported Italian

Followed by a stop at La Cascia's for a cannoli or zeppole.

Phillippe's in LA or Weiler's in Northridge have the best sandwiches I've tried in California.
