I was thinking about this play just this morning. That was an awesome hit and stop. I remember watching that game and thinking oh boy he is going to get that 1st down, then out of the middle of no where comes Slaughter with the perfect hit and tackle.

What I learned on Saturday is that Brian Smith is way better as an ILB because he doesn't have to contain and can just attack. Would love to see him rotate with Carlo depending on the down (I think Smith might be a bit quicker and better in pass coverage).

Either way if our LBs and safeties play like they did against Utah we will have a great shot against Army and USC. Harrison Smith's interception was sick.

I like our young LB corps. We have some serious hard hitting talent and as they mature and grow will only get better and better. Manti and Carlo only Sophomores and Shembo a Freshman!

Yea, I think we're starting to reach a "sweet spot" where we have enough older guys to provide leadership, younger guys to keep the fire burning, and stability to focus on mastering systems instead of understanding them.

Don't you know that these guys could really hurt someone ? That poor michigan quarterback Denard Robinson is like 180 pounds with rocks in his pockets for goodness sakes !!! They could really hurt him And Navy those poor semen you don't think a huge hit or two could really stop making the run option effective. Guys Navy needs that run option its all they have. Last but not least poor Matt Barkley that kids whole college career is pretty much ruined . Now that poor kid has to face this defence who is just getting better . There is a dark side to some of guys and scares me deeply .

LOL. I guess we are sick bastards that are loving the potential of this young defense especially the LB corps. Yeah poor Barkley..........., Can't wait to see a nice hit or two on him. It is scary to think how good this defense will get over time. They have shown alot of signs of improvement and it will only get better!
