I'll add that I've watched Stanford tons this year. They don't throttle anyone. They don't get out of the 20s on offense most weeks.

We had a 4th quarter lead and melted down for no earthly reason, but mainly because the offense sucked all game outside of two big plays. The lasts three games the offense has been as bad as it gets... main reason for regression is turning the ball over while not getting takeaways, and not moving the ball in a way that helps put the defense.

Kelly is the only coach who makes David Shaw look like Knute Rockne. He’s a disgrace.

They are slow, unathletic and have no playmakers. Most top ten teams would boat race this team. They are not good. They have a good RB and that’s about it. Their QB had 5 TD passes coming into tonight.

They have all the safeties and ND has none.

Saban played Hurts all game against Auburn and suffered the loss. He went with Hurts against Watson in the NC last year and lost.

You can’t win in college for long if you can’t pass. Wimbush can’t pass. Need to focus on Book’s development for next year.

If Saban can’t win with Hurts, no way BK wins with Wimbush

Good attitude, I've been mostly there the past few years myself. It was the NC and Heisman hype that dialed it up. To another letdown. At the end of the day, it's not worth worrying about.

We were as high as 3rd in the CFP rankings at one point. Lost a one point game vs a very good Georgia team, and steamrolled everyone else, including a waxing of USC. Then, Miami pants'd us and we completely implode. Lucky to escape vs Navy (what else is new) and then shit the bed in the 4th vs Stanford.

A season with so much promise until cold water was dumped on us the last three games of the year. Back to reality.

And to beat all, Kelly did just enough to get himself another year. We have at least one more year of this garbage to look forward to.

I honestly would have preferred another 4-8 season. I would have never gotten invested in this team and BK would be gone.

Defense lost the NC game for Bama. Hurts gave them the lead, ad couldn't hang on.

Kelly just can't do the little things right and it bites us in the ass in November:

-Inconsistent recruiting leads to positions groups with sub-par talent and/or depth

-Special teams, what's that?

-Too many sub-par coordinator and position coach hires that hold back the players. Also a lack of accountability based on results which leads to said coaches overstaying their welcome.

People will say you can't win at ND anymore, but personally I feel the the vast majority of our underachieving is linked to poor coaching hires. It's time to end this charade that Kelly is anything but a slightly improved Charlie Weiss and move on. Embarrassing.

I agree, A New Years 6 Bowl game would just be another blowout loss. Earlier on in the season I truly thought this was a different team. Nope, just the same old bull#$%@.

Texas A&M regresses more and falls apart worse.

Crazy thing about losing in Palo Alto...everyone loses there.

They have beaten the last 7 or so top 10 teams to come into their house.

No, but investing too much for constant disappointment is too hearthbreaking. Kelly is probably getting 5 million per year, we are invested for free.

This game turned on our inability to capitalize when we started at their 19 in the third quarter, and then two crap turnovers deep in our own end. Not sure whose “fault” that is - though pretty sure Wimbush needs to play better - but that was 18 points and the ballgame.
