Wasn't there something about, they wouldn't issue the #1 jersey again until ND reclaimed the #1 most winningest team title back? I know that was the old regime that made that "rule".

With the loss of Hillman, I am guessing (per Driskell) that C Lewis move to safety is confirmed?

Another starting caliber veteran safety would be ideal from the portal, but not realistic. Lewis might be the answer if they find a corner they trust this spring. To me, if they see Christian Gray play to a level where they know he'll be in the rotation, they'll switch Lewis.

I think we should target another safety no doubt and need to bring in 4-5 in this next class.

Transfer portal opens Saturday. There will be a full contact in stadium closed practice Sat as well.
Might be a big day for exits. Rumors (third hand from pay site message boards) is we will have 3-5.
Despite the "he had a class obligation" guys who missed Weds practice are being mentioned, as is a certain WR who suddenly is taking reps at CB.
K K Smith might be able to become Kaleb again.

How does it work transferring and then transferring again in the same semester? Have to sit out? Or just a free for all? lol

Kaleb Smith the guy from Va. Tech? Pretty sure he's a grad transfer, so I think he's free to go any time he wants. I assume he'd just skip the rest of this semester and start his master degree all over again in the fall. 🙃

Agree with the skepticism on Styles leaving. Rumors of his departure are as old as time, yet he's still here, and still likely a starting WR for us next season. Who, besides Kollie, missed Wednesday's practice?

And what is the word on Aidan K? Everyone seemed to think he was gone, maybe just waiting to get his degree. Haven't heard much about him this spring.

Kollie and Kaleb Smith missed practice, as did Christian Gray but he's not being rumored. Carmody is there but he's not repping.

Aidan hasn't cracked the two deep. Onye has nailed down the #2 NT slot. Aidan K and Ehrensberger are the guys who have been around long enough to be pushing for a spot and have not progressed.

If Kaleb Smith decided to transfer it would open the door for a younger WR. I was surprised ND dipped into the transfer portal for a WR. Our current WR's didn't have big numbers last year, but our depth is in good shape and I like what I've read about our WR's in spring ball.
