So, is the OP current?
It feels like we just lost half the team.
*edit- With Tommy leaving we're suddenly very young at TE. Yikes.
Tremble should be off, same with Mccloud and Diggs isn’t a commit
Any word on Ben Skoronek, Josh Lugg and Dillon Gibbons?
This is my understanding as well. Not that I’ve seen although it seems like lugg and gibbons are expected back and Ben S isn’t
I still believe next year should be a build towards 2022. We have a lot of young talent and now a new d coordinator and likely all new position coaches on D except CB. Next year will have some ups and downs but we should be circling 2022 and 2023 as the realistic championship runs.

This times 100. I'd rather see ND go 8-4 in 2021, have all the youngins get a ton of experience and be more experienced for 2022.
And kick recruiting in the shin as a result?
No, the opposite.
First, ND's record since 2017 speaks for itself. Second, playing more younger guys shows high school recruits you can play early at ND.
I dunno man, anything less than 10-2 is going to be considered a disappointment. If Notre Dame is really an elite program you just don't intentionally go for a rebuild when you can conceivably reload.
at Florida State
vs Toledo
vs Purdue
vs* Wisconsin (Soldier Field)
vs Cincinnati
at Virginia Tech
BYE
vs USC
vs North Carolina
vs Navy
at Virginia
vs Georgia Tech
at Stanford
I think Notre Dame can go 12-0 against that schedule and I don't think they should make themselves worse for 2021 because we play Ohio State in 2022 and 2023. Plus I just don't think Kelly's competitive spirit would let him do anything other than attempt to put the best product on the field.

Is Tremble coming back?
Declared for the draft.
Two way too early interesting but under the radar position battles wondered if anyone has similar thoughts:
TE2: Tackas vs. Bauman. And how important is this spot compared to LY?
3T/SDE: Talk about MTA maybe moving the DE depending on what scheme Freeman chooses. Would open for one Ademilola and close for another. Could Rylie Mills drive either discussion?
