This is my worry and worst case scenario in my opinion. Michigan plays out the year. Wins the National Championship. January 2025 the NCAA rules they cheated and has to vacate all of 2021 through last week. But the CFP committee still placed them in the final 4 and wins… even if they vacate the whole regular season of 2023 they would not have violated any rules after a certain point in 2023. So does the National Championship count? Technically the game would not have been in the scope of investigation, right? Someone please tell me I’m wrong.

I’m not sure how that would work. Theoretically the vacated wins from the first 8-9 games of the season would have caused them to not be selected for the playoffs, so their admission into the playoff could and would likely also be vacated. Also probably could depend on if they can prove Stalions had sent scouts to any of those teams in advance of a potential matchup. Idk if you can penalize hypotheticals, though.
