Does anyone know what the role of a “low level staffer” would be the night before a game? I would think the football offices would be buzzing with activity and Harbaugh would expect all hands on deck. If Harbaugh wasn’t aware, why wasn’t he asking “where the f&ck is Stalions?” I can’t imagine they leave the office at 4pm and have no responsibilities until the next morning.

Given the statement below, it shouldn't be to difficult to figure out how he got the credentials.

Athletic director Amy Folan, in a statement to ESPN, said the school became aware of the photos late Monday. The man resembling Stalions is dressed in Central Michigan-issued gear and standing alongside several of the team's coaches, while wearing a bench credential.

The credential reads "VB" and appears to be designated for the visiting bench area, which is different from a general sideline pass. It gives access to the designated area between the 20-yard lines, which is reserved for players, coaches, trainers and equipment staff. Schools are given a finite number of passes for each game.

I went and looked (because I REALLY wanted it to be true), and he's wearing Adidas, you can see it in these photos.

It was in reference to his footwear. He’s wearing Nike instead of adidas.

But if you go to the pictures, his shoes look identical to the shoes the coach next to him is wearing. The picture and angle aren't good so I can't see the brand.

There's a dude on r/cfb that has those glasses, talking about them. He posted a pic of them and said even if you black out the front light, it has a light inside the frames, so you would get the shine like in these pics.

That's what I'm not understanding with the Michigan fans saying it's not their boy. If it's one of CMU's people, they could clear it up in a few seconds by saying it's one of their people.

When this piece of nonsense 1st hit, I thought, no way. There's at least one dude that looks like that on every football sideline in America. But, damned if it isn't him.

If you've seen the clips circulating online, there are several instances in which this "mystery man" had plays come his way on the sidelines, and those videos show him doing everything he can to hide his face for the cameras.

Yeah that’s odd. I’m sure a lot of us were on the freshman team at one point when the seniors ran the same play over and over and you felt like you were an all conference player because you knew the plays.

well its probable that in exchange for the sideline access he offered intel SCUM had about MSU to CMU. It's already been disclosed that it was common for Big Ten teams to trade sign stealing intel. Honor amongst thieves and all that.

When they first announced it, people were saying paid leave is to cover Michigan's butt just in case, as they could have been vulnerable to a lawsuit if nothing came of the whole thing. It'll be hilarious though if he's still on paid leave until the NCAA investigation ends next year
