What would be more satisfying: Michigan winning a Natty only to have it taken away next year by the NCAA or Michigan held out of post season play by the NCAA this year
If I had to choose, ban them from post season play this year. If they win, it doesn't mean that much to vacate after the fact.

Washington Post also reporting that Harbaugh's offer was pulled.

A truly just, unbiased punishment would include but not be limited to:
  • Vacate their wins going back to 2020
  • Fire their head coach and everyone associated implicitly in the scandal
  • 4 year post season ban
  • Prison time, min. 6 months for all the players who had an actionable ND scholarship offer
  • Their stadium should be razed and a memorial should be built in it's place
  • Their team colors changed to pink and yellow. No Stripes allowed.
  • Their wives and daughters should be sold to the highest bidder
I guess if anyone wants to be truly vindictive, feel free to add to the list.
Forced to play their games at the local youth FB field.
Forced to use the refs from the local youth FB league.
Games to start at 8:00AM
Must play every player on the roster minimum of 10 plays per game
Only Little Debbies and Capri Sun allowed after the game

NCAA installs Tyrone Willingham as Michigan Head Coach with a 10 year, No-Fire Contract.

Willingham skips press conference announcing his hire. Goes golfing.

Maybe not died...but I think it's pretty obvious nothing new has come out and that nothing will happen this season, if at all.
Michigan had the PR advantage of having a bye last weekend and so the spotlight turned elsewhere.
Them playing this weekend will kick up another round of talk. Playing a big game on the road next weekend, even more.
This isn’t going away that easily for them.

This morning's rumor is the opposite; that they are moving forward with it.

This was never going to live up to the hype. It'll be nothing soon, nothing crippling.

I never understood the retraction of the offer from Michigans standpoint. If he comes out clean then you have him locked up, if he doesnt you fire him for cause and you owe him nothing.

Contracts are never that clean. If nothing else, in a contract this big you end up spending a ton of money on lawyers during the inevitable wrongful termination suit.
Pull the offer and wait it out. Even without any official action form the NCAA (likely) he is damaged goods. Where is he going to go for another few years?

It’s already lived up to the hype.

The investigation has only been open for 2ish weeks and the NCAA has already been in Ann Arbor to discuss. The same NCAA that typically moves at a snails pace.

Let’s let it play out.
If they actually hacked Ohio State practice footage there will be people convicted of crimes. I mean that with 100% sincerity. If it's just the illegal scouting and recording then they're still going to vacate like three full seasons of wins at minimum.
