I can see electing to receive when you're expecting a shoot out and think you have the better offense. But I'd otherwise always prefer to defer and start the second half with possession. No idea why we're receiving with our current OL.

Its that schematic crap we heard so much about in 2005. Receiving team that scores a TD opening drive has an exponentially higher chance of winning.

I think we would all collectively vomit if we saw the actual % ND scores a TD on all these opening drives. Bet its sub 20%.
