Anyhow, considering how limited the offense is that was a hell of a game.

Unfortunate. We made some boneheaded mistakes. I feel like our staff always calls cowardice football game when playing against tough opponents.
Tough opponents and tough moments, but to be fair that doesn't apply to the defense

I’m not denying his heart. And he played much better in the 4th, but he needed to stay calm in the pocket on the last play. Steps up he has Finke.

3rd down was a stupid play call. Even if you only get 4 yards your not in 4th and long. Chip is a terrible offensive coordinator.

This team made a lot of mistakes tonight and still had a chance to beat #3 who has more talent. This team never quit. We’ll be fine.

I bet we are 9 or 10.

We will not beat these teams unless we start playing guys that can separate and take chances against elite defenses. If we don’t have those players, fine, but Give guys like Claypool a chance. Finke can’t hang in this type of game.

Our defense played the type of game you win. Our offense did not.

Now, that said, we are without Armstrong, guy who broke collarbone, and Smith. So, damn.

We should have won this.....

My first reaction is that I’m really proud of the team. People are gonna dog Book right now but I honestly feel like if we didn’t have to rely on guys like Finke and have to have Tony Jones take almost every rep then we would be more competitive. We were 14 point dogs and we repeatedly showed them that we weren’t going to lay down. Inevitably we will question play calls (haven’t kept up on this board but I assume people wanted the ball going to Claypool more because I know I did) but damn we had a chance at the end and just let it slip away.

And Chip Long needs to be on maybe not the hot seat, but watched. That flea-flicker is Jim Harbaugh level of bad play calling.

Ok, Kids. Wde lost because we didn't get the 50/50 calls at all.
We lost because we played an SEC team that has the nation Including a bunch of fans here wanting the loss.

I dont know if its Chip Longs hesitancy or Ian Books inability but we have to take shots down the field more often

The team is lacking an elite RB and an elite WR. Which they are getting in Tyree and Jordan Johnson. Also need a 1st round QB. Which hopefully one of the QB’s future and current will become.

Where the fuck have Kareem and Okwara been this year? Hayes is the only one making plays.

Claypool has been pretty elite when given the ball. You're 100% spot-on regarding RB tho.

As a fan I’ll take a moral victory, it sucks ND lost but this isn’t the ND program of 10/15 years ago. This program is a top 10 program and holds its own. We will be fine, go Irish

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I'm so over moral victories. I want actual victories.

I hear that. The program is inching to become elite. It’s slowly happening and with the academic restrictions it takes longer at ND to climb that elite mountain as compared to State U. The program right now is where Clemson was at the beginning of this decade. Good teams, but not able to get over the big game hump. Eventually ND will break that big game barrier wall and the flood gates will open.

WTF does that have to do with anything? Go to bed you silly, not as important to anyone as you like to tell your family you are. Be well. I don't wish sick on anyone. Enjoy.

Honestly I think ND wins this game if they come in with a healthy offense. Meaning Young, Armstrong and Jahmir Smith active and healthy.

Michael Young brings the speed Keys has, but in a slightly bigger body.

10. Notre Dame (7): Voters will have to really feel strong about what they saw from Notre Dame to drop the Irish behind the likes of Texas and Oregon. I think when it comes to comparing losses -- and yes, it's that team of year where that kind of thing matters for the top 10 -- there isn't a "better" loss than against Georgia in Athens.

I'd have settled for a #1 or #2 RB.

The injury list was too deep on a thin RB corps.

And possibly even more importantly, keeps Finke off the field?
